Usage

This template is used to describe pages an event in the Category:Events.

Syntax

Parameters

name

Event name or tagline.

description

General description of the event, including:

Objectives of the event.

Activities that will take place.

Rules, if any.

Rewards, if any.

Example: "Join us for a mining fleet in high-sec where we will gather ore and discuss mining techniques."

scheduling

Details about when and where the event will take place, including:

Start time and location.

Duration

Area (eg. Low-Sec, High-Sec, W-Space)?

Required communication channels.

Example: "The fleet will form up in Jita IV - Moon 4 - Caldari Navy Assembly Plant at 19:00 EVE time. The fleet will last for 2 hours and take place in high-sec. We will use Mumble for voice communication."

requirements

Minimum requirements to participate in the event, such as:

Skills

Knowledge

Ships/Fittings

Other

Example: "Participants must have a mining barge with a tank and mining lasers fitted, as well as the Mining Upgrades skill at level 4."

recommendations

Optional recommendations for participants, such as:

Skills

Knowledge

Ships/Fittings

Other

Example: "Participants should have the Mining Director skill trained to increase mining efficiency. A fleet booster with Mining Foreman Link - Laser Optimization is highly recommended."

fitting

Details about required or recommended ship fittings. Can use Template:ShipFitting.

warnings

Any warnings or special instructions that participants should be aware of before joining the event, such as:

Safety concerns.

Rules of engagement.

Restrictions on certain types of equipment.

Example: "This event takes place in low-sec space and may be subject to player-versus-player (PvP) combat. Participants should be prepared to defend themselves and their ships. Non-combat ships are not recommended for this event."

additional information

Any other relevant information about the event, such as:

Sample forum templates using Template:CollapseBox or Template:Code.

Recommended reading.

Relevant game or Uni policies to keep in mind.

Example: "Participants should review the EVE University Mining page before the event. This event follows the EVE University Rules."

You will need to bring your own cruiser for this. MAKE SURE IT IS INSURED! You can grab what T1 Basic modules you need from the Uni Student hangar however. Your ISK loss should be minimal for this. There is to be no outside help once this starts, no remote repping etc. There will be places for spectators to sit and watch the FFA as it goes on. The people in the FFA will be in a fleet, so they know who is a target and who is not.

*You will be warping in at your preferred distance for this once the FFA starts, so you might want to get some safe spots up so you don’t warp in on top of multiple people using the same direction.

*You MUST post your killmail to hope of winning the most killing blows prize. Even if you didn’t kill anyone. POST YOUR KILL/LOSSMAIL

PLEASE POST IF YOU WISH TO ATTEND, SO WE KNOW WHAT NUMBERS TO EXPECT. 

Also, DO NOT POST if you can’t make it. Although it’s nice to let us know, it hampers counting who will/may attend.
