As your instruments power down from combat mode, you notice a scanner report on one of your panels indicating a strange reading few systems away. Comparing the location with external logs you learn that this is the site of an old mining outpost that was abandoned a few years back. |
First Location
You land at an unlocked acceleration gate. Take it if there is no commander or if destroying it does not trigger escalation.

First Pocket
No enemies are present except for several storage silos. One of them deals about 1000-2000 damage to all ships in proximity. The damage scales rapidly if the silos are approached.

The escalation fails silently if no escalation is triggered from the storage silos. Your ship starts taking damage upon entry. Warp off and return and the leakage should be gone. If safe upon return, destroy silos until one is marked and yields a new location for escalation
