Thera (Dotlan) is a wormhole solar system in shattered wormhole space. It has features making it different from any other system in New Eden or wormhole space (Anoikis). Thera is receiving some focus for new in-game lore connected to the Sleeper's mysterious past. The Thera system was introduced in the Rhea expansion (December 2014). Player interaction within Thera quickly evolved the system into a very PVP focused arena[1].
Features
- It is accessible only via wormholes (no gates).
- It is the only wormhole space system with NPC stations, and the stations have normal services including markets.
- Many of the planets are shattered, and there are no moons.
- No Upwell structures.
- Increased connectivity to K-Space, with a total of a dozen or so wormholes to high-, low-, and null-sec at any given time.
- It is a very large system, 342 AU diameter.
- Mobile warp disruptors (bubbles) may not be anchored.
- Sleeper occupation equivalent to Class 3 and 4 W-Space systems.
- Capital ships may not enter Thera or be built there.
- Like all other W-Space systems, Thera has -1.0 system security.
Helpful Tips for Visitors
- You can set your home station to any station in Thera (provided you're docked there).
- Be mindful that while the Local chat channel in Thera is regularly chatty (unlike the rest of W-Space), not every person present in the system will appear there.
- EvE Scout seeks to maintain a list of active wormhole connections to/from Thera. This makes it convenient to use Thera as a shortcut across space, with no scanning necessary since they provide a bookmark folder.
- Also be mindful that the exits to the stations are often camped so try and setup instaundock bookmarks if you are going to use them. Or wait at a safe spot, cloak enabled, if you are forming up for a fleet.
- To get easy access to Thera on Singularity, check out this EVE Forums post.
Stations
All four stations are operated by the NPC corporation The Sanctuary, a research branch of the Servant Sisters of EVE faction. These stations have several of the available station services, including: Clone Bay, Industry, Loyalty Point Store, and Repairshop. However there are no mission agents.
Station guns will shoot any ship using interdiction bubbles within 250km.

Player Owned Starbase
Player-owned starbases (POS) are not anchorable in Thera because there are no moons. Upwell structures neither due to Thera being a shattered Wormhole Space (also, explicitly forbidden as per this Helpdesk Article.)
Planets
- For additional information on planet type, please read the planets section of the Eve University Planetary Industry guide.
Planetary Industry is unavailable in Thera due to the nature of it being shattered wormhole system. This restriction includes the remaining five non-shattered planets, Thera X - XIV. When using 'View in Planet Mode' menu option, you will get a "Planet unavailable. Thera [n] is not available to the general public." message.
- Thera I - Shattered Planet
- Thera II - Shattered Planet
- Thera III - Shattered Planet
- Thera IV - Shattered Planet
- Thera V - Shattered Planet

Other sites in Thera
Thera hosts 4 additional sites, seemingly remnants of past activities and endeavours in the system. Each of these sites is usually protected by 3 sleepers.
Epicenter
The Epicenter contains 4 "violent wormholes" as well as assorted Sleeper/Talocan debris. The site itself is approx 250 km across.
Testing Facilities
The Testing Facilities site also contains wreckage of an Exotic Specimen Warehouse, seen in the background of the image above.
