Forward Operating Bases are similar to [[Upwell structures]], except that the only features that FOB offers are tethering, docking, and fitting. All other structure services are disabled.

Pirate FOBs are the target of the [[Zarzakh]] shipcaster, allowing members of [[Insurgency|Pirate Insurgencies]] to teleport directly from Zarzakh to the Insurgency systems.

== Mechanics ==

Forward Operating Bases are invulnerable under normal operations. However, they can be made vulnerable when the Empire factions achieve their [[Ambition modifier|Ambition goals]] for the Insurgency cycle. Once made vulnerable, Forward Operating Bases may be attacked.

Upon destruction the Insurgency ends in an Empire victory.
