Awox games
Awoxing games involve some characteristic of spaing or turning on each other. The variant discussed on this page involves a fake team-based event in which players may choose to turn on each other to achieve their objective.
How it works
- Players are divided into teams equally and in secret: the event host opens a trade window with each of them in the designated form-up station. Members of Team Y are given one unit of omber and members of Team Z are given one unit of jaspet. Players are advised not to tell anybody else which team they're in.
- Once teams are assigned, players are divided into two groups, Groups A and B. The other members of their group may or may not be in the same team: for example, Player 1 of Team Z could be in a group with one other Team Z member and three Team Y members.
- Each group will be given a destination to travel to and an item to pick up and bring back to the form-up station (there will be a temporary corp bookmark leading to an anchored container holding the items).
- Each player has the same goal: to try and figure out if anybody in their group is in the other team, and to kill at least one other group member that they believe is in the other team. If a player comes to think that most of their team members are in the other group, then they can also attempt to steal the delivery item and bring it back on their team's behalf.
- A player may use any means to figure out which team the other players are in, including: asking them, tricking them into telling them, cargo scanning their ships for omber or jaspet, or aggressing them to provoke a reaction.
- Any player to return to the form-up station upon completion of this goal wins a prize. Since killing a group member automatically gives you away to the others in your group, you do not have to survive this engagement or maintain complete secrecy to be eligible for prizes.
Suggested delivery quest
This event will be using a fetch quest as its base mission for players.
- Anchor two secure containers at different locations in the same system, preferably around 8-10 jumps out from the form-up system.
- Put the items to be picked up in the containers. Remember, they have to be able to fit in the event ships' cargo holds.
- Save the containers' locations as temporary corp bookmarks.
- Let each team know which bookmark to use.
Scheduling
- (Day, Date, Month)
- (Time, Plus Event Duration Estimate)
- (Form up Location)
Requirements
- Mumble
- One ship (varies depending on the event)
Fitting
- This particular event's variant followed a T1 industrials theme and features a mix of Battle Badgers and Nereuses. Ship choices are up to each player and do not depend on their team sorting.
- Battle Badger fit
- Battle Nereus fit
