Loot will usually average between 15-40M ISK per site with some variance through implant and BPC drops, which can jack up the loot value well over 2-300M.

The Besieged Covert Research Facility is a Mordu's Legion combat anomaly. It can be found in any region of space, but only in Low Security systems.

You will need:

  • a ship that can sustain fire from up to five Battleships, a passive buffer Gila with Vespa and Kin/Therm resists can do this site in approx. 10-12 mins.

Tips:

  • Killing Mordu's ships does not reduce Faction Standing
  • All ships fly up to 380m/s
  • All ships use shield boosters
  • Kinetic is the best damage to both deal and resist
  • The Cruiser's missiles deal Kinetic damage
  • The Battleship's high accuracy and infinite range Thermal/Kinetic/EM turrets deal 350 damage per shot, while their torpedo missiles deal 900 Kinetic damage per shot.
  • The Commander's turrets deal all damage types, but have poor tracking; and their 54 km range torpedoes deal Kinetic damage

You should deal Kinetic damage because:

  • The Cruiser is weak to EM, but has low HP so high Kinetic volley damage can still kill it quickly
  • The Battleship's shields are weak to EM and armor is weak to Explosive, but the lowest average resistance is Thermal with Kinetic at close second
  • The Commander has high EHP but its weakest average resistance is Kinetic

Message from Mordu's Legion
Stay out, capsuleers! This is a private matter and your interference is not welcome.

If you engage our forces, interfere with our task, or do anything else except leave immediately, we will have no choice but to attack you.

Single deadspaced pocket. You cannot warp around.

The site is empty at first and remains that way until a player is detected within 50 km of the Guristas Research and Trade Hub, even if they are cloaked. Wave 1 spawns within a few seconds after the proximity trigger, indicated by a message in local.

Message at Wave spawn
This is a distress call to anyone listening in the vicinity! We are a Guristas research and trading facility that's under heavy attack! Please come to our aid before lives are lost!

None of the NPCs drop any loot, though the Mordu’s Legion Commander has a bounty of 900k ISK.

There is no trigger ship. The Second Wave will warp in seconds after you destroy the last ship in the wave.

  1. ^ a b Tracking value of turrets is 0. Normal accuracy rules are ignored. Ships always deal the full amount of damage.

The main value of the site comes from the Guristas Research and Trade Hub. The Thukker Component Assembly Facility only drops one or two Covert Research Tools, some minerals and possibly a rare Thukker Component Assembly Array BPC.

Message after killing Wave 2
Thank you for rescuing us, capsuleer! This is delicate research we've been doing, and these attacking forces might have ruined it completely.

If the site isn't cleared within 20 minutes after Wave 1 spawns, the structures, along with any loot inside them, will explode (though the explosions don't deal damage to your ship), and the site is considered failed. Any remaining rats on grid will instantly despawn.

Message on site failure
Capsuleer, I am a member of Mordu's Legion. You tried intercepting our attack on this installation, and as you can see by its explosion, your efforts have utterly failed. We are honorable fighters, but I suggest you steer clear of the Legion's operations in the future.
