. These special missiles are pods crewed with Shriker clones to board enemy ships, thus damage them from inside. They apply debuffs that inflict damage over time (DoT), instead of instant damage.

Mechanics

Breacher Pods are missiles, an object in space that chase their targets, until they hit and apply debuff or run out of flight time. Breacher Pods do not use Missile damage mechanics to determine their damage application - they do not do any damage on hit at all.

Breacher Pods can only be used on players and NPCs ships except capsules. They cannot be used against other targets like structures, stargates and collidable objects.

When a Breacher Pod hits the target, a debuff is applied which inflict DoT, lasts 50 and 75 seconds depending on the users skill level. Its DPS is equal to the lower one of its "maximun flat damage per second" and "maximun percentage of target HP damage per second", i.e. will not be higher than any of the two. The debuff inflict DoT directly to raw Shield, Armor and Hull HP, ignores resistances and is able to damage ships under the effect of Assault Damage Control, Emergency Damage Control or PANIC, and continue doing damage while the ship is in warp or is tethered.

A ship may have multiple debuffs with different duration and DPS, but only the debuff with the highest DPS will inflict DoT, much like Command Bursts. Getting hit with additional breacher pods will just add another effect which will take over when the previous one expires; if two players shoot the same target with breacher pods, then the player who has the strongest breacher pod effect will deal damage to the target, and the other one will remain inert unless the stronger effect expires.

A ship leaving the solar system or docking clears all Breacher Pod debuffs on it.

Skills

Breacher Pods do not benefit from any of the traditional engineering (Weapon Upgrades and Advanced Weapon Upgrades) and missile skills. Instead, it has its own set of skills.

Equipment

There are a total of two size classes for Breacher Pods, being Small and Medium. All of them do not have any varients.

Breacher Pod Launchers

The weapon equipped by Deathless Circle ships. They have no capacitor usage, cannot be overheated, and have a reload time of 30 seconds.

They do not auto repeat, and you can apply debuffs to any amount of targets at the same time, if you have enough skill levels to achieve it.

Small 24 s 40 pods
Medium 20 s 50 pods

SCARAB Breacher Pod

SCARAB Breacher Pods have very short flight distance, require their users at melee range to their targets to launch them.
