Overview

This group contains all skills tied with that theme: probe scanning, hacking mini-game and survey skills.


  Archaeology

Proficiency at identifying and analyzing ancient artifacts. Required skill for the use of Relic Analyzer modules. Gives +10 Virus Coherence per level.

  Price: 250k ISK
  Alpha max level: III
  Prerequisites: Science III, Survey III, CPU Management I
  Notes:



  Astrometric Acquisition

Skill at the advanced operation of long range scanners. 5% reduction in scan probe scan time per level.
  Attributes:   
  Multiplier: 5x
  Price: 1M ISK
  Alpha max level: II
  Prerequisites: Astrometrics III
  Notes: Currently the least useful of the three Astrometric skills used for Exploration, and a holdover from previous versions of scanning. Scan times are already very short, so you may not want to train this skill at all past what is required by other skills or items.



  Astrometric Pinpointing

Greater accuracy in hunting down targets found through scanning. Reduces maximum scan deviation by 5% per level.
  Attributes:   
  Multiplier: 5x
  Price: 1M ISK
  Alpha max level: Alpha pilot can not train this skill.
  Prerequisites: Astrometrics IV
  Notes:



  Astrometric Rangefinding

Skill for the advanced operation of long range scanners. 5% increase to scan probe strength per level.
  Attributes:   
  Multiplier: 8x
  Price: 500k ISK
  Alpha max level: II
  Prerequisites: Science III
  Notes:



  Astrometrics

Skill at operating long range scanners.

+5% scan strength per level. -5% max scan deviation per level.

-5% scan probe scan time per level.

  Multiplier: 3x

  Alpha max level: III
  Prerequisites: Science III
  Notes: With the release of Odyssey, by default, all players can launch the maximum of 8 probes with Astrometrics I



  Hacking

Proficiency at breaking into guarded computer systems. Required skill for the use of Data Analyzer modules. Gives +10 Virus Coherence per level.

  Prerequisites: Science III; Electronics Upgrades III; CPU Management II; Power Grid Management II
  Notes:



  Survey

Skill at operating ship, cargo and survey scanners. 5% improvement per level in the scan speeds of those module types.
  Attributes:   
  Multiplier: 1x
  Price: 55k ISK
  Alpha max level: III
  Prerequisites: CPU Management I
  V required for: Gaze survey probe I
  Notes: Mostly of interest to professional suicide gankers, since it lets them scan potential targets quickly to see what they might be carrying that's valuable.
