Service Information

The Refining Service offers our members a perfect refine of ore or ice. The outcome will be higher than a perfect refine with 0% tax in a NPC Station.

To help support AMC and the various services the campus provides, a small handling fee is charged for this service in the form of 2.5% of the resulting minerals and ice products. This is automatically calculated by the spreadsheet and accounted for in the outcome figures presented in the Inventory tab, so you don’t need to work them out.

The AMC Refining Service spreadsheet below is used to request a personal ore or ice refine.

IMPORTANT: This service is only available at the AMC Refinery (Shemah - The Ore Question)

Instructions

Here you'll find some brief instructions on how to use this service, including both the in-game steps as well as the required steps out-of-game on Google Docs.

It's recommended to have the Contracting skill trained up to at least Level 1 to be able to have more than one outstanding contract submitted at a given time.

Prepare the ore

Please use a Station Container for storing your ore throughout the contracting process.

Name the containers following this convention: "Your Name (DATE)" - e.g.: Jefferson Spence (2014/11/18)

If you have more than one container to contract, please add a counter to the end of the name, i.e.: "Your Name (DATE) 01"

Create your spreadsheet copy

  1. Go to the current version.
  2. Log into your Google account.
  3. Open the file menu and select "Make a Copy".
  4. Name the spreadsheet following this convention: "Your Name (DATE)" - e.g. Jefferson Spence (2014/11/18)

Add the ore to the spreadsheet

  1. Make sure the ore and ice that you'd like to submit is stacked.
  2. On the Paste Inventory tab, select cell A4, and copy and paste these from your in-game inventory.
The "Icons" view in your inventory will not work for this. You need to use the "Details" or "List" view.
  3. Review the outcome in the Inventory tab.

Create the contract

  1. Share the spreadsheet (i.e. click the Share button in the upper right corner of the spreadsheet, then "Get shareable link").
  2. Create a contract to Ivy League AMC Holdings with the applicable containers at the AMC Refinery (Shemah - The Ore Question).
  3. Paste the spreadsheet key in the Description field of the contract:
(The field located between ""/d/*****/edit#"". See the image below.)
    Finding the spreadsheet key
  4. Set the contract for 4 weeks expiration, then click finalize the contract.
  5. Wait for the container to be contracted back to you with the refined products.

Reasons for your contract to be declined

  • The quantities do not match between the contract and the spreadsheet.
  • The contract wasn't submitted from the AMC Refinery (without the approval of an AMC Officer).
  • The submission did not come via a Google Docs spreadsheet.
