"Good Day, dear student!

How are you today?

My name is KIAAAI, that's short for "Know-It-All Annoying Artifical-Intelligence(tm)" and my responsibility is to act as the bad conscience of our most lazy students. After watching your progress within our educational for some time, and matching your class attendance with your killboard, I came to the conclusion that you are totally qualified for my special treatment! And here I am, teehee!

I am going to teach you some basic safety measures now, teehee!

First, you need to know how to undock from a station in a safe, professional manner. You should know that, after undocking from a station, you are totally safe for 30 seconds,

as long as you keep your hands off your input devices and other controls!

So, don't touch any keys on your keyboard and don't click at stuff with your mouse, and nobody can target you, or hurt you, teehee!

Instead, you can use those 30 seconds to look around and evaluate your surroundings. Is there nothing flashing red or yellow in your overview? Well, looks good then, off you go, teehee!

But what to do if there actually IS something flashy?

In this case you should not forget that there is exactly ONE action you can do without compromising your own safety! You can still hit the brakes, teehee!

So, to do this, simply press the CTRL key and the Space bar simultaneously, and your ship will slow down to zero. But make sure not to do something other than that, because then you'll die and I will laugh, teehee!

But if you manage to do it right, which I doubt, then you can just dock up again if your surroundings look a bit too fishy for your taste, teehee!

Keep calm and dock up again.jpg

Alternatively, you can simply try to run! We offer some instant undock bookmarks of important stations in our corporation bookmarks, and the only challenge is finding those, teehee!

So open your People & Places window, go to the Places tab, and look into the corporation bookmark section there. If you find an entry in green color, then it's a bookmark in the same system as you are, teehee! But not necessarily a instant undock bookmark, so think twice what you are doing, teehee!

Look for something like this:

Or this:

Undock-bookmark-sample2.png

If there is something green with the word "Undock", "Warpout" or "IWO" in it, then you're a winner! All you need to do then is undock, right click the bookmark, warp near it, and whoooooosh off you go, teehee!

This trick works because of the warping mechanics, you know? A spaceship can enter warp when it reaches 75% of its maximum speed. That's why it sometimes takes a long time when you are aligning to a gate or station first, because some ships are reeeeeeally slow! But when you undock from a station, your ship already comes out at full speed and so you can jump into warp instantly, teehee!

This trick will save your skin often, especially when the bookmark is far out in space! Some are so far away, that you can even cloak your ship before you arrive there!

But never use such bookmarks when you fly an expensive freighter, because then you will die, teehee! Those big fat whales are totally helpless when they are not within docking range of a station. So if you fly a freighter, it's better to really hug the station after undocking to make sure that you can always dock up again if someone tries to attack you! But they can still bump you away from the station then, so don't wait too long, teehee!

But what if you want to do it the other way, when you want to dock quickly?

Then you use an instant dock bookmark! For making such a bookmark, you simply fly close to a station and give it a hug, until you bump your nose into it, teehee! And when you and the station are touching each other, you say Woooooooooooot! and create a bookmark of this location, teehee!

And when you later jump to this location, you won't have to wait a long time between your docking request and its acceptance! Much safe way of flying, teehee!

If you want to know more about bookmarking, you can join our Bookmarking 101 class! It's wonderful stuff in there, you will even learn how to make safe spots in deep space to hide from your enemies, teehee!

But it is always safer to fly with others! So I want you to visit the Fleets 101 class! That's really dopey stuff, teehee! And a lot of fun, expecially because of those sexy tutors who simply know everything! And there is also a Fleets 102 class, but you don't need to attend it now, just keep it in mind for later when you are more experienced!

For finding out if there is a class within your timezone during the next weeks, you can simply check the calendar, teehee! You can find it in your Neocom, that small button which also displays the time!

And if there isn't a class scheduled, or if the time doesn't suit you, then all you need to do is go to the forum and check the Scheduled Classes board in there! If you still can't find it, simply request one in the E-Uni: Class Request Threat, teehee!

Okay, this is it for today! Thank you for listening, and you can now continue with whatever you were doing, teehee!

There is no need to deliver any proof about me talking to you, I'll take care of this for you! You can continue with whatever mission LeFleur will give you!

Goodbye!"
