Full T2 Tank
From UniWiki
The following is a list of the skills needed to fit a full T2 tank. These skills are therefore essential for flying Battlecruisers and Battleships during wartime (see Wartime Standard Operating Procedures)
Forum post for discussion of these requirements can be found here.

Armor Tank
- Hull Upgrades V
- Mechanic IV (Battlecruiser) or V (Battleship)
- Repair Systems IV (for active armor tanks -- not required for a buffer tank)
These skills allow fitting of T2 versions of armour repairers and all active and passive armor modules.
Also recommended:
- EM Armor Compensation III (Battlecruiser) or IV (Battleship)
- Explosive Armor Compensation III (Battlecruiser) or IV (Battleship)
- Kinetic Armor Compensation III (Battlecruiser) or IV (Battleship)
- Thermic Armor Compensation III (Battlecruiser) or IV (Battleship)
Training these skills makes passive resistance modules (such as the popular and effective Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane) more effective.
Shield Tank
Active
These skills allow fitting of T2 versions of all active shield modules and the passive Shield Resistance Amplifiers. Shield Management V is a long train and many pilots will fit faction Shield Boost Amplifiers to avoid training Shield Management from IV to V. This is generally a good idea, but faction modules are not allowed in wartime, so this would not comply with the WSOP.
Also recommended:
Passive
These skills allow fitting of T2 versions of all passive shield modules as well as active shield hardeners, which are very commonly used even on passive tanks.
Also recommended:
Buffer
Also recommended:
- Hull Upgrades IV for Damage Control II
- Shield Management IV
- Shield Operation III
Support Skills
Though these skills aren't strictly necessary to fit a T2 tank, reasonable levels in the following will greatly improve your tank.
Active Tank
- Energy Management (IV recommended)
- Energy Systems Operation (IV recommended)
Passive Shield Resistance
Since most shield tanks fit active resistance modules, the passive module shield resistance skills are not often useful. It may be worth picking them up in the longer term as you round out your skills.
- EM Shield Compensation
- Explosive Shield Compensation
- Kinetic Shield Compensation
- Thermic Shield Compensation
