Template talk:Toclimit

This template doesn't seem to work. I tried it in my sandbox (see https://wiki.eveuniversity.org/index.php?title=User:Erwin_Madelung/Sandbox&oldid=190080) and the only time it seems to be used otherwise is Consolidated wormhole sites resource where it doesn't affect the table of content depth. From the media wiki page this shouldn't be a template on it's own but be part of the Template:TOC, compare https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Template:TOC. Thanks for bringing it to my attention! The issue was the global Wiki configuration. I've fixed it. I've also restored and documented the original Template:TOC as well as deprecated the {{Toclimit}}. Please use Template:TOC instead. Arin Mara (talk) 21:00, 12 August 2022 (UTC)

Changed this template to a redirect to Template:TOC. This is done the same way in the mediawiki. This way you can still use the syntax {{toclimit|limit=2}}. This also means you have the expected behaviour when you are used to other wikis based upon mediawiki. Erwin Madelung (talk) 06:13, 13 August 2022 (UTC)

As the redirect suppressed the doc it was unclear how to use the template. I rewrote the template to make a call to {{TOC}} and updated the doc. -- Evon R'al (talk) 17:50, 28 May 2023 (UTC)
