Overview
Ships with Ship Skins are variations of their standard counterparts. They usually are in the colors of a certain faction or corporation. They have the same attributes, fitting and skill requirements as their standard counterparts.

There are currently two types of skinned ships:
* Special Edition Ships: Ships that were handed out as gifts by CCP for certain events or via certain codes. They can be traded on the market (found under "Special Edition Ships") but they can't be created by players.
* Paint Job Ships: Ships that were painted by Players with a Paint Job Blueprint Copy.

Ships with Ship Skins are variations of their standard counterparts. They usually are in the colors of a certain faction or corporation.
This Wiki page will cover the Paint Job Ships.

With Rubicon 1.3 CCP Games introduced a Ship Painting Pilot Program. This is a new mechanic that allows players to paint their ships with a BPC. This point release added the first nine ship skins.

It is very important to note that those "vanity ships" have the same attributes, fitting regulations and skill requirements as their "naked" counterparts. This means they are just cosmetic changes in the game. They are not to be confused with the T2 variants or pirate/navy variants of ships, even if some of them are identified as "Faction" ships with the green corner in their info picture.
With the Kronos Release CCP added eight new ship skins for four pirate factions and more ship skins obtainable via the New Eden Store.

All of the ships that are considered as "ship skins" are technically different ships although CCP stated that they want to eventually change it if the Ship Painting Pilot Program is a success.
How to obtain a Paint Job
There are currently four ways to obtain a ship skin:
* Via the New Eden Store for Aurum as 1 or 10 Run BPC (between 45 and 3500 AUR)
* Via Loyality Point Stores (namely CONCORD LP Store)
* Via Drops in Besieged Covert Research Facility Combat Sites.
* Via a Gift by CCP as part of the Mystery Code

Special Edition Ships
CCP handed out a variety of ships in the past. They were either given as present to all active players during Christmas Events or EVE's birthday celebrations or via codes that you could obtain via Flyers at player gatherings or trade fairs. There are also ships that could be obtained as pre order bonus or as a gift when you subscribed to the game or got someone else to subscribe.
Types and how to identify them
All of these ships are either Shuttles, Frigates, Destroyers or Industrials.

All of the ships have the green faction logo in the top left corner of their picture.
List of Paint Jobs
This is the list of ships that are considered Paint Jobs. Each entry explains how to obtain it (except from the market of course) and it links to the ship it is based on.
