Skill books in Dust 514 have the same function as they do in EVE. Once purchased a new skill is made available for use by your Merc. They can be purchased either in the Marketplace or direct from [[Dust 514: The Skill Tree|The Skill Tree]].

There are eight categories that Skill Books are placed in the Marketplace to buy. All have a primary effect but some can have a secondary effect that may could effect another aspect of your stats. As of the Open Beta there are a total of 102 different Skill Books.
