Biography

I dabble in just about any aspect of EVE anymore, short of things the Uni doesn't do.

Primarily, I'm an industrial player - I frequently do actual industry, along with Planetary Interaction, and mining. I also do exploration as a bit of a side activity, PvE on occasion, and have been getting more and more into the combat side of the game as of late.

In EVE Uni, in addition to being a Mentor, I am the Director of Education in EVE University, and a member of the EVE University Fleet Command team.

If your interests fall outside of an area I know - I probably know how to get you in touch with someone who knows better, or find some material to help us study and understand together. In short - if you're interested in it, ask me about it!

Hello to all - I'm Caelius West!

Wormholer by trade, though I've done so much more
Now although this sonnet is pretentious - at best
I hope I can teach you this game I adore

The Uni has been a great corporation to me
About a year and a day is the time i've been skilling
I've met some great people - and Chris Halsky
and ten thousand dollars of ships I've been killing

Down in '936 - or Innuendo for short
I polarize ships as best as I can
Some are mean to my genius, to my forte
They're scared of the Uni's 'Voted Most Humble Man'

Whoever you are - if you're reading this - do not worry,

I can teach you a lesson you won’t forget in a hurry.

Biography

When I started playing EVE, UniWiki was used by me daily - I quickly decided to join EVE University, as that was looking like great opportunity to learn. And it was a jackpot, as I learned a lot of stuff here :)

I remember that I started with hauling and trading of Trade Goods with NPCs - terrible in general (please don't do it), but gave me quite a bit of time to read Wiki and paid for my first Drake :)

I am Caldari all the way, and you might sometimes encounter me telling that Caldari is the best, or making fun of other faction ships - no worries though, that's semi-joking roleplaying, and I don't mind pilots who like potatoes, plastic toys or rusty scrapmetal :D

Currently I am mostly focued on PvE (missions, but not only), grinding Standings (I'm weird), getting my alt ready for Incursion (I did run a bit on my main some time ago) and general bumbling around doing interesting things. And PYFA-ing fits for different occassions, most of them bad, few of them good ;)

Before that I tried to try everything what EVE has to offer - and that's what I recommend everyone to do, to find out what you like. Or don't like ;)

Biography

My entire life in EVE has been within EVE University. My main character is primarily involved with the Wormhole Campus where I thoroughly enjoy the PVP content that is available therein. Not that PVP is all that wormholes offer. Harvesting fleets (combat anomalies) and gas huffing are our mainstay of isk generation with the workhorse of exploration to find us content.

Missioning is, however, where I started and I still enjoy going out and beating up on naughty pirates from time to time. I am currently using our continually varied connections at WHC to occasionally run missions to gain standings for as many different security agents as I can find.

About midway through 2021, I created a new alt character on my main account to join the EVE University Production team and am thoroughly entrenched in making all manner of ship hulls and modules for our FC team and community hubs.

I started over a decade ago coming over from WoW. Played only a little until I joined EVE Uni. Since then, have been doing a variety of things: Some missioning at the beginning. Then mostly hacking exploration and Incursions. In the last few years, I have been focusing on Industry and Hauling. On the PvP-side I've done solo and small scale roaming as well as leading regular fleets as FC and joining Uni fleets (and some NPSI) in specialized roles - mostly as scout and logi. I also like teaching classes and networking on behalf of the Uni and have held a few other staff roles over the years. Organized and helped with a variety of community events big and small when I was part of the Comms Department. Recently I came back from a semi-hiatus of about a year and have a lot of learning in front of me as well :)

Biography

I'm a long time EVE player, and one of my favorite things since day one was to help new players. Even before I joined the Uni, and within a few months of starting out, I co-created a corporation called Seventh Millenium with another player, and helped other players out for the time I was there. Eventually, the corporation died out, and it became my de-facto alt-holding corp.

It was during this time that I decided to join the University as a Teacher (back in 2010), and although I did teach, I must admit I learned significant more - despite being a two-year veteran of the game at the time. I ended up becoming a mentor back then. I wrote a lot of my history in my bio on the wiki, but in brief, I left in 2012, and returned in 2020.

Since then, I've taken the helm of the Mentor Program as Mentor Manager, and have greatly enjoyed my time back - particularly the PVP. I call myself an "Angry Industrialist" because I love mining in my Hulks and Orca - but just as happy to go on a shooting spree during the Uni's wars. I'm more than happy to help you become an "Angry Industrialist" as well - or simply being "Angry". :P

My main is in a C5/C5 PVP wormhole corp which also happens to be one of the most active corps in the game. I started out like many EUNI folks, as a miner, and eventually became a lowsec pirate back when LowSec Campus was a thing. After that I moved on to WHC. I took a break from the game, came back, spent time in NSC, and then went to WHC. I occasionally ran with the Incursions Community flying DD. I split my time between NSC and WHC doing a lot of gas harvesting, mining, PVE, and of course PVP. I was an FC in WHC leading Quick Response Fleets for random content we found. I also was a part of the hauling department moving hundreds of packages each month by freighter or DST. After I moved on from EUNI with my main, I have maintained an alt in EVE University to teach, FC, and now mentor.

After they moved on from eve, I played solo for a little while and tried out a few groups before I found a home with the Uni. My main activity now is in running Abyssals. I've always enjoyed helping out others so I figured becoming a mentor would be a great way to help give back. Biography

My main passion in EVE is teaching various E-UNI classes and campus/community introductions as well as FCing very Noob-Friendly PvP fleets/roams. I mainly enjoy group activities more than individual ones, but I also do solo stuff either to make ISK or to poke around and learn. With 10+ of EVE & E-UNI experience, I'm happy to guide you from learning the very basics to becoming a confident and thriving pilot. There are things I'm good at and things I'm still learning 10 years in, as will you. If we face a challenge that's new to me, I'd be more than happy to tackle it together. Looking forward to helping you through your EVE journey.

Biography

I have been playing off-and-on since 2008, including time in the Uni as a Graduate Mentor. I decided to try for a fresh start this time around, so don't let my character age fool you! I've spent the majority of my time running missions, but have experience in both solo and fleet PvP, as well as leadership positions in these fleets.

Biography

Started out in the Agency training as an Enforcer, then gradually moved on to Soldier of Fortune. Was fortunate enough to have several mentors who helped me quickly get to the ranks of PvE L4 missions. Regularly participate in PvE events. I've also participated in multiple strat ops for the Uni, am a regular on Discord and Mumble (both tools I find very valuable). Have a strong knowledge of EVE fundamentals. I'd like to say I know a little bit about a lot of subject matter in EVE, and a lot about a few areas of subject matter. Big fan of utilization of the tools the University provides, including Alliance Auth along with the well reknowned E-Uni Wiki. Have 3 toons, dabble in Planetary Industry, consider myself very laid back and personable. Relaxed atmosphere as this is a game meant to be enjoyed, not a job. I constantly seek to learn more and more about EVE, so that I can pass it along to mentees and comrades within the Corp.

Biography

I started back in 2017. Struggled a lot at the begining both due to not knowing the game and the language. I really screwed my characters bad (specially standings) to the point my first character was deleted. After some time I was lucky to have gotten fleeted into the Magic School Bus, there we were introduced into basic fleet ideas and able to ask questions and I was pointed towards EUni. Been in EUni since. I've been away from Eve for about a year and half due to RL. I'm slowly returning to the game, relearning things (and the new stuff). Lately I hang around PC9 and it's community until I decide where exactly to head (probably NSC or WHC).

Biography

I started my career in high sec running missions, mining, and doing general high sec stuff before moving permanently to WH space. I have dabbled in PI, moon mining, gas huffing, ice harvesting, reactions, exploration, capital and subcapital ship construction, and PvE in high and low-class space.

I fly with a group of like-minded pilots, and we occasionally do some exciting things in null and wormhole space.
