E-UNI Emblem.png Unistas may not deploy Mercenary Dens, as per EUNI rules. The rules does not apply to non-unistas.

Mercenary Dens are unique content to individual players that produce Infomorph Decryption Keys(infomorphs) to sell or use. All you need to do is train Mercenary Den Management, find a safe place to drop a den, do some PvE, and get some ISK. Mercenary Dens where added in the Revenant expansion [2]

Step by step

  1. Train Mercenary Den Management, a 1 million ISK skill, to at least level I. You need one level for each Mercenary Den you maintain.
  2. Ensure you have a PvE ship to run Mercenary Tactical Operationss (MTOs) to keep the anarchy low on the den. A Vexor Navy Issue or Gila can run the MTOs pretty easily.
  3. You need some PvP experience to deal with possible player pirates attacking the den. Knowing how to call for help with your group is important. A Mercenary Den has a 24 hour reinforcement timer with a 6 hour window. You then need to repair it's shields to 50% and it will be inaccessible while in this state. If destroyed, it has a 50% chance to drop the infomorphs inside. Therefore, it is a good idea to empty it often.
  4. Drop your Mercenary Den near a temperate planet Skyhook and it will start to generate several Infomorph Decryption Keys every hour. A Mercenary Den costs approximately 24 million ISK (Q2 2025).
  5. Run the MTOs that it allows you to run. These drop loot as well.
  6. Pick up the Informorphs Decryption Keys and sell for deathless BPCs and other items. Each of these infomorphs sell for approximately 9k (Q2 2025).

A reminder, this is all tied to a single player character, it cannot be managed by an external entity. In Sov Null, you usually pay a tax for helping maintain the structure.

Mercenary Den parameters

Development

Development is generated over time, and when successfully completing mercenary den tactical operations. Higher Development levels will cause the mercenary den to increase production yield of infomorphs over time.

Anarchy

Anarchy is also generated over time and decreased when successfully completing mercenary den tactical operations. Higher Anarchy levels will cause the Skyhook it’s placed on to siphon workforce production, preventing the workforce from being used by the sov owner.

Mercenary Tactical Operation

Main article: Mercenary Tactical Operation

Over time, Mercenary Dens rack up anarchy and Development indexes will increase. If your anarchy reaches maximum levels, after about 8 days, it will go offline. Therefore, you need to reduce the anarchy. This requires that you run Mercenary Tactical Operations {MTOs).

It is recommended you run MTOs every 3 days or so.

Cashing in Infomorphs

To cash in the Infomorphs, you can sell them locally, haul them to Jita, or go to Zarzakh. Luckily, due to the Eve Scout bookmarks, you can get to Zarzakh very quickly. Using Thera talks about it, but instead of Thera, you are aiming for Turnur wormholes, as Turnur is right next door to Zarzakh.

Some players are making around 6 billion ISK a week doing these, as of Q2 2025. You can get around 580 million in loot from running 10-12 MTOs.

After you get your Infomorphs, head to Zarzakh in a cloaked ship. Warp to the Infomorph Decryption Trader, in your cloaked ship. Then, slowboat to about 5km off it, still cloaked, to trade with it. Once you are done trading, warp off again, again not decloaking. A Blockade Runner works fine for this operation.

The Infomorph Decryption Trader is a Large Collidable Item and need it on your overview.

Alternately, if you are collecting Atavums, can warp to the Atavum Research Trader.

This is where you can buy the new Breacher Pod skills as well. As of Q2 2025, they cost 1,895 Atavums (742 million ISK), or 53,280 Infomorph Decryption Keys (522 million ISK).
