Griffin/Kitsune: Quick response or hero ECM

The Griffin and Kitsune are fast and rarely tanked. They are fairly cheap (300k for the Griffin, 20m for the Kitsune) which makes them great quick response or hero jam ships. Quickly ship into one of these to either help with a gank or jam tackle that's locking down an expensive T3. If you plan on trying to keep your ship alive, always align out and judge when you should warp out. For instance, warp in about 10-30km shorter than optimal, align away from the fight, and jam as much as possible. You can probably jam off a single tackle and stay on field, but that's your call. The Kitsune has a higher jam strength; it will probably be able to lock down a T1 frigate or maybe even an Interceptor.

Blackbird: Big Griffin

The Blackbird is like a fat Griffin: slower, tankier, and longer jam range. You can throw an armour plate and a DCU on it. Warp in at ~50km, align as fast as possible, and jam. These ships aren't that expensive, but are slow, so you might not make it to a QRF. However don't dismiss them for that. A Blackbird is more likely to survive someone looking its way, and may even be able to kill a small ship depending how you fit it.

Falcon: A great QRF choice, strong jams, will die fast

The Falcon is possibly the most hated ship in the game. It can warp cloaked, has insane jam strength, and is a great QRF ship. It can be fitted with a armour plate and DCU, or none of the above. It all depends on how you want to fit it and how much in the danger zone you want to live. With a plate and DCU you'll still have fairly high jam strength and will live longer then a frigate. These can be used in some smaller brawling fights if you tank it up, but in general the Falcon will go boom very fast.

Tengu (ECMgu): W-Space essential, decent jams, great staying power

The ECM Tengu is the bread and butter of ECM in w-space. It can be fit to be as tanky as other armour T3 cruiser and survive the primary engagement until it can catch reps in a standard T3 + Guardian fleet. Though the tanky fit doesn't have the jam strength of a Falcon, it can take a beating and stay on field. There are multiple ways to fit an ECMgu. Some prefer over-tanking, others use an ECM strength rig. Either is acceptable.

ECMgu pilots also typically fit smartbombs because they don't need high slots for ECM. Smartbombs can be used as anti-drone weapons. Remember that smartbombs can't tell friendly from enemy drones: Try not to blap friendly drones!

The most common type of jam to use is Amarr, to counter the typical T3 + fleet. Don't try to jam everything. Focus on the Guardian that isn't being called primary. Jam it as much as possible. This is meant to break their cap chain and render them ineffective. If there are 3 Guardians, focus on jamming 2 of them. Call in comms when that happens. If your fleet is able to shoot the 3rd Guardian it will most likely fall, assuming you successfully jam the other 2 at around the same time.

Summary: Don’t jam the primary. Smartbomb drones. Jam Amarr ships. Tank everything. Don’t warp off unless you are doing it with your fleet.

Scorpion: Home defence, not a QRF or roaming ship

The Scorpion has lots of mid slots and can tank well. This ship is used mostly for home defence and rolling. I personally like to fit a plate or 2 to tank it and some sort of prop mod, it depends on my mood of the day. Fill up most of your mid slots with Amarr jams. I do like to put in 1-2 Caldari jams when I know there is enemy ECM. Just auto cycle those on the Caldari jamming ships. Stay at range. Yes you are a battleship but you are still not a true armour tanking battleship. As with the ECMgu, focus your jams the correct way. Don't jam the primary unless you are told to do so. Focus the people who can rep the primary. This is not a QRF ship but a home defence ship.

Just bridge with this.
