* The fastest way to acquire Tracking Computer I is to buy it from the market. You can either buy it in the current station or buy it somewhere else and fly to the station where you bought it to pick it up. Note that items are usually cheaper at trade hubs, although for an inexpensive item such as Tracking Computer I, the extra journey may not be worth the time spent.
+
* While it doesn't matter how or where you acquire the Civilian Armor Repairer from, the fastest way to acquire a Civilian Armor Repairer is to simply buy it from the market. Career Agent stations has specifically this item "seeded" with sell orders, meaning it will always be available for purchase from there.

+
Clear
* Alternatively, the module can also be manufactured by purchasing its Blueprint Original (BPO) and supplying the required minerals. Without sufficient training of relevant skills and a reliable source of cheap raw materials, however, you will often find that producing an item could be much more expensive than buying it on the market.

When you accept the mission your agent gives you an Expanded Cargohold module (although it's not really relevant to completing the mission).
+
* Since mission 7 already gave you one of the modules to be handed in, you only need to acquire one more.

+
* If you completed Industrialist - Producer mission 5 and/or Enforcer mission 4 beforehand, then they would have given you the remaining 1MN Afterburner I required.
Similar to mission 6, now you need to acquire two 1MN Afterburner I modules. Since mission 7 already gave you one, you only need to acquire one more. There are several ways to do so:
+
* You can also buy one from the market.

+
* You may need to right click on one of the 1MN Afterburner I and select Repackage, if this option is available.
* If you completed Industry Career Agent mission 5 and/or Military Career Agent mission 4 beforehand, then they would have given you the remaining 1MN Afterburner required.
+
* Alternatively, you can manufacture one with a 1MN Afterburner I Blueprint, assuming you have the minerals available.
* You can buy one from the market.

* Alternatively, you can manufacture one - even though it requires a larger variety of minerals (all of which can be reprocessed from ores mined in high-security space) to manufacture than Tracking Computer I from mission 6.

* The agent also mentions that you could loot a module from a destroyed ship, either from NPCs or other players' ships, although it would not be practical to go down this route (i.e., engaging in PvE or PvP combat until the desired module drops) unless you already have looted one.

#9ef37c An Advanced Industry skillbook, which, when trained, speeds up your manufacturing speed. Note that only Omega characters can use this skill - you can tell by the orange border around the icon, and by the letter Ω which appears when you mouse over the icon.

* Note that in EVE manufacturing, time can be exchanged for money and vice-versa. Keep this in mind should you go deeper into manufacturing - you can try to acquire all the necessary materials yourself, or you can pay someone else to do it for you (by buying their ore, minerals, or modules/ships via the market), and it's up to you to find the right balance and make the most of both your time and (in-game) money.

When you fit Expanded Cargohold I to all of the low slots available (4 for Badger, 5 for Nereus and Wreathe, and 6 for Sigil), then you can haul at least two frigates (2,500m³ each) or a destroyer (5,000m³) in it.

The Industrialist - Entrepreneur (previously known as the Business Career Agent) is one of the five career agents in the game, which show new players different types of PvE activities in EVE. The Industrialist - Entrepreneur agent missions teach you about hauling, salvaging, mining, hacking, and manufacturing. In total these missions pay about 1.1M ISK in rewards.

Balancing the Books (1 of 10)

Type Courier
Objective Move Data Sheets(1 m³) to another station.

 • Don't forget to put the mission item into your ship's cargohold before you undock.
 • Clicking the "set destination" button will plot a course to the station where you have to drop off the item; the next stargate/station on your route will be highlighted in yellow on your overview.
 • Once you get to the destination station, you can start a conversation with your agent remotely to complete the mission, but you must return to them to start the next one.
 • If you're not sure where to return to, you can look up any agents you have previously interacted with in your address book (accessible through the "Contacts" button on the NeoCom).

Balancing the Books (2 of 10)

Type Encounter
Objective Use a salvager module to salvage useful components from a wreck.
Rewards Civilian Salvager (granted upon acceptance); Venture

Warp to the mission location through the drop-down menu in the Info Panel.
 • Fit the Civilian Salvager module (note that the salvager module uses a high slot but does not occupy a turret/launcher hard point as weapons do) and at least one weapon to your ship.
 • The objective wreck is located in a deadspace area - warp to the location and activate the acceleration gate.
 • After destroying some weak rats, target-lock the civilian transport wreck, approach it within your salvager's range (5,000 m) and activate the salvager.
 • It might take a few cycles for the salvaging to be successful, at which point the 'Black Box' required for mission completion will automatically appear in your ship's cargo hold.
 • Salvage drones will not be able to salvage the mission wreck.

Balancing the Books (3 of 10)

Type Mining
Objective Mine some Veldspar ore and reprocess it to 333 Tritanium minerals.
Ship suggestion Venture
Rewards Miner I (granted upon acceptance); Reprocessing skillbook.

Reprocessing 200 units of Veldspar into Tritanium.
 • Fit a mining module and at least one weapon to your ship and warp to the mission beacon.
 • While you're mining, a weak rat will spawn. As long as you kill it, you can source the required Tritanium in whichever way you like without actually mining and reprocessing - e.g., using leftovers from other missions or buying them off the market.
 • Reprocessing can be done by docking in a station, moving the ore to the Item Hangar, right-clicking on the ore and selecting "Reprocess". Note that you pay a small fee for reprocessing.
 • Ores can only be reprocessed in increments of 100 - if you have 99, for example, you need to acquire at least one more unit to reprocess them.
 • If you have a new character (with around 50% reprocessing yield), you will need at least 200 Veldspar to acquire 333 Tritanium through reprocessing.
 • You can divide a stack of ores (or any other item) by pressing shift and drag-and-dropping it.

Balancing the Books (4 of 10)

Type Exploration
Objective Hack a structure with a Data Analyzer.
Rewards Civilian Data Analyzer (granted upon acceptance)

 • Fit the Civilian Data Analyzer and some weapons to your ship.
 • Inside the deadspace pocket there is a Data Storage Device with a weak rat guarding it. Destroy the rat, then approach and target-lock the Data Storage Device, and activate your Data Analyzer. This will start the hacking minigame: explore the board by clicking on the green circles until you find the System Core. Once you've disabled the System Core, you can open the container and loot the Encoded Data Chip.

Balancing the Books (5 of 10)

Type Courier
Objective Move Encoded Data Chip(0.1 m³) to another station.
Rewards Inertial Stabilizers I or Overdrive Injector System I (granted upon acceptance); Expanded Cargohold I

Whether you get Inertial Stabilizers or an Overdrive Injector System depends on the faction of your career agent.

 • As usual for hauling missions, don't forget to put the mission item into your ship's cargohold before undocking.
 • Inertial Stabilizers I decreases the ship's Inertia (increasing its agility), at the expense of increased Signature radius.
 • Overdrive Injector System I increases the ship's maximum velocity at the expense of reduced cargohold capacity.
 • Expanded Cargohold I increases the size of your ship's cargohold capacity at the expense of reduced structure hitpoints and maximum velocity.

Balancing the Books (6 of 10)

Type Industry
Objective Acquire a Civilian Armor Repairer
Rewards Broker Relations skillbook (granted upon acceptance); Nanofiber Internal Structure I

 • While it doesn't matter how or where you acquire the Civilian Armor Repairer from, the fastest way to acquire a Civilian Armor Repairer is to simply buy it from the market. Career Agent stations has specifically this item "seeded" with sell orders, meaning it will always be available for purchase from there.

Balancing the Books (7 of 10)

Type Exploration
Objective Hack a structure with a Relic Analyzer.
Rewards Civilian Relic Analyzer (granted upon acceptance); 1MN Afterburner I

 • This mission is very similar to mission 4, except that you need to fit the Civilian Relic Analyzer module (instead of the Data Analyzer you used earlier).
 • Ignore the two rats in the first pocket and activate the warp gate
 • Kill the two rats in the second pocket, approach, target-lock, and hack the container (called an "Ancient Ship Structure") using your Relic Analyzer and loot the contents.

Balancing the Books (8 of 10)

Type Courier
Objective Move Central Data Core(5 m³) to another station.
Rewards Limited Social Adaptation Chip

 • As always, be sure to put the mission item in your ship's cargohold before setting out.
 • The Limited Social Adaptation Chip is an implant that you can "plug in" to your character's head (select the item, right-click, and choose 'plug-in') to increase their Charisma attribute by 1 point, which slightly increases your training speed for skills which use the Charisma attribute. Note that should your pod be destroyed, any implants you have plugged in will be destroyed as well. You can view your plugged-in implants in your Character Sheet (click on your portrait in the upper left-hand corner), on the Character - Augmentations tab.

Balancing the Books (9 of 10)

Type Industry
Objective Acquire 2 units of 1MN Afterburner I.
Rewards Expanded Cargohold I (granted upon acceptance); Mass Production skillbook

 • Since mission 7 already gave you one of the modules to be handed in, you only need to acquire one more.
 • If you completed Industrialist - Producer mission 5 and/or Enforcer mission 4 beforehand, then they would have given you the remaining 1MN Afterburner I required.
 • You can also buy one from the market.
 • You may need to right click on one of the 1MN Afterburner I and select Repackage, if this option is available.
 • Alternatively, you can manufacture one with a 1MN Afterburner I Blueprint, assuming you have the minerals available.

Balancing the Books (10 of 10)

Type Industry
Objective Manufacture (or otherwise acquire) a faction-based turret.
Rewards BPC for turret (Amarr EmpireGatling Pulse Laser I (Energy Turret) /Caldari75mm Gatling Rail I (Hybrid Turret) /Gallente Federation75mm Gatling Rail I (Hybrid Turret) /Minmatar Republic125mm Gatling Autocannon I) (Projectile Turret) (granted upon acceptance); Fast Hauler ship (AmarrSigil /CaldariBadger /GallenteNereus /MinmatarWreathe)

 • Even though the mission text says that you must manufacture them, there is (yet again) nothing stopping you from buying them from other players on the market.
 • Should you decide to manufacture them yourself, you can right-click on the BPC, select "use blueprint", and supply the required minerals for building them. To produce the required number of items, increase the "number of runs" as appropriate to get an updated quote. Wait for the manufacturing to finish, open the industry tab in the station menu on the upper right side of your screen, and click "Deliver" to obtain the items.
 • The table below lists the required amount of minerals (note that each BPC could have different material requirements depending on the material efficiency - the table uses 5% material efficiency as given by the agent):

 • Note that in EVE manufacturing, time can be exchanged for money and vice-versa.
