The Metenox Moon Drill is an Upwell structure that can be placed on a moon in Low Sec, Null, or Wormhole space and automatically extracts resources from the moon.

Deployment

The Metenox Moon drill must be placed at the moon mining point of any moon in Low-Sec, Null, or Wormhole space and occupies the same location an Athanor or Tatara would. It does not provide docking or tethering.

A Integrated Moon Drill Armature is required during manufacturing. It has the same function as a core in other structures, which means it drops when the moon drill is destroyed. As the armature is added during manufacturing, it does not need to be inserted after anchoring.

Anchoring this structure takes 45 minutes. This timer is increased to 4.5 hours in Sov Null systems which is not owned by the anchoring alliance. When the anchoring process ends, fuel blocks and magmatic gas need to be inserted in the cargo deposit, which automatically transfers it to the fuel bay. Following this, a pilot in their capsule can 'board' the moon drill and open the fitting window to online the integrated service module. This causes the module to start consuming fuel and brings the moon drill out of its low power state after a few minutes.

Mining

Main article: Moon mining

Once provided with the proper Reagents, the Metenox Moon Drill will begin to slowly collect raw moon minerals over time. Which minerals it extracts can be customized by players who have been granted access by an ACL.

The rate of extraction is slower than if an Athanor or Tatara popped the moon and players manually mined the moon chunk, but as it is completely automated this can still be a benefit for smaller corps or on moons that do not often have complete fleets to clear the moon chunks.

Players may board a Metenox Moon drill to see its reagent, fuel, and moon goo contents, just as one would board another ship when in a capsule.

Additional details are needed + pictures on fueling, adding reagents, and retrieving the minerals, plus reagent burn rate

Destroying and Reinforcement

Main article: Vulnerability

A Metenox has a unique reinforcement mechanic - Once deployed it will not automatically repair like other Upwell structures. If attacked, players will need to manually repair the Shield or Armor with logistics ships. There is a single reinforcement cycle between Armor and Hull, but still no automatic repairing when this period ends. A Metenox cannot enter another reinforcement period until the armor and shields have been repaired to full.

During this reinforcement phase it will stop extracting moon minerals as well

There is no Damage Cap on a Metenox Moon Drill.

Unanchoring

Like other Upwell Structures, a Moon Drill can be removed. Decommissioning the Moon drill (through the Structure Browser by right clicking on it and selecting Decommission) starts a 3 day un-anchoring timer.
