Requirements
To start the Minmatar Epic Arc you must have standings of 5.0 or higher with the Brutor Tribe corporation or the Minmatar Republic faction. In addition to being comfortable with level 4 missions, you should have the Hacking and Archaeology skills trained (Hacking III and Archaeology I are sufficient).
Rewards
At the end of this Epic Mission Arc you will decide whether to cooperate with a Gallente historian or a secretive Minmatar military organization, the Defiants. The Defiants will award you
- +5% Minmatar Republic faction standing (6.25% at Social V)
- 10 x RSS Core Scanner Probes
The historian will award you
- +10% Minmatar Republic faction standing (12.5% at Social V)
After you complete the arc, be sure to check that you have received the faction standing increase, because there have been many cases of people not receiving the increase. If your standing has not changed, file a petition. It may help to include a link to CCP Dropbear's forum post.
Enemies
You will face mostly Angel Cartel and Ammatar Mandate ships.

A Demonstration

It can either be obtained from a cosmic anomaly in the Sveipar constellation called "A Demonstration", that must be scanned down with your Onboard Scanner, cleared and then broken open with an analyzer, or you can buy one from the market for less than 1 million. |

The first wave of this mission spawns almost on top of you and does heavy damage and can warp scramble, so you might want to trigger it in a shuttle and then warp back in at range in your combat ship. |
Who Art in Heaven

Destination: Urnhard Reward: 5,000,000 + 1,400,000 (Bonus) Summary: A combat mission against a large number of Angels. This mission may be blitzable by approaching within 20k of the outpost to trigger its destruction. |
Playing All Their Cards
| Type: Encounter (Angel Cartel)
Destination: Urnhard Reward: 7,000,000 + 1,620,000 (Bonus) Summary: You need to hack a container and take an item. Approach the container and when you get close an Angel force will appear 100k off. You can destroy them and then hack the container, or you have plenty of time to hack the container and warp off before they reach you. I have Hacking III, and on two separate days I attempted to loot the item using a T1 cruiser with four Codebreaker I modules, but was unable to do so before being destroyed. Wildfire

Destination: Akpivem Reward: 7,000,000 + 487,000 (Bonus) Summary: Place an item in a container. It will then be stolen by an NPC and you will be ambushed by a large number of Angel frigates and a few battleships, which you can either destroy or escape. |
Stillwater
| Type: Encounter (Angel Cartel)
Destination: Zaid Reward: 8,000,000 + 1,280,000 (Bonus) Summary: The final combat mission against a rogue Minmatar agent and his Angel guards. There is an energy neutraliser tower that should be killed first, then you can either blitz Karkoti or kill his guards and then destroy him. His guards are elite cruisers and frigates and regular battleships, so they're not especially tough. Karkoti has a good tank, but not amazing, and his damage is not particularly high. He uses a microwarpdrive and seems to like to kite at a 60km range. |
