One of our Caldari Navy Special Forces units conducting clandestine reconnaissance of a contested ocean planet – a Gallente-claimed planet, by the way, with extremely rare seabed minerals – sent an emergency burst communication to the covert ops ship in orbit above the planet, requesting immediate extraction. This signal was, in turn, transmitted to the classified comms center here on this station. When we attempted to contact both the team and the ship, however, we received no response. Our immediate reaction was to divert one of our long range Crow-class interceptors, which was in the region on an unrelated mission, to investigate. Soon after its arrival, its sensors confirmed that the covert ops ship had been destroyed.
There is nothing we can do for our lost covops ship; however, this series of events has left the Special Forces team alone and without a means to evacuate the planet. Even worse was a fragment from the original communication indicating that the team was on the run and low on food, water, weapons, and ammunition. They have taken refuge in a disused ocean mining facility, though it is doubtful that they will stay hidden for long. There simply aren't many places to hide on that planet, given the fact that it is mostly covered by massive oceans, with very little land mass. It will not take long for the Gallente to track down our team and either kill them or, worse, capture them for interrogation.
The good news in all this is that we have an extraction team in place, along with a shuttle-equipped vessel to deliver them to the planet. However, given the immediacy of this mission, they had to leave their original base without much of their usual equipment and weaponry. This is where you come in. We need you to transport several containers of highly specialized small arms and related equipment to the station at which the extraction team is currently located. Once you drop off this cargo, the team will gear-up and shuttle down to the planet to rescue the stranded team.
So, pilot, what is it gonna be? Will you help us?
