Mission briefing

Listen, it's just coming over the news channels now. There, see? A commercial station in <location> was destroyed in a freak accident. They're saying it was some sort of rogue asteroid. Investigators are reporting over ten thousand confirmed dead so far. Naturally, people are demanding answers. The government wants answers, the media wants answers, the people want answers... you get the idea. And nobody seems to have any answers. To put it simply, this shouldn't have happened. <location> and its surrounding systems were cleared of rogue asteroids years ago, or so we thought. In fact, the station's position and orbit were chosen specifically to ensure its safety from collisions with celestial objects. If we don't find out how this asteroid got there, the finger pointing is going to start. Nobody's job will be safe once that starts happening. It's fallen to us to analyze the asteroid. We're going to need all of it, <character name>. The asteroid is still at the site of the accident, though it's busted up some, I imagine. You'll need a survey scanner to find it through all of the debris. It's a grim task, I know. But it's one we need to undertake if we're going to figure out how this terrible thing happened.

Though the mission agent will request that you bring a survey scanner, it is not required to fit on your ship, as it will appear in you overview. A few Serpentis rats may spawn.

There is a debris field around the asteroid that will slow your movement speed. You may want to take care of the rats away from this area so that you can move freely.
