I'm in a bit of an awkward position here, <Pilot>. With all the people being released from slavery in the Empire, we're getting more and more families who practice the Amarr religion. No thanks to Jamyl, she knew this would happen. The edict from our government is that we need to respect the poor deluded people and gently introduce them to a new way of thinking. It won't be easy, and it's putting a strain on all of us.
My problem right now is that a bunch of the refugee families have requested that some Amarr Scriptures be included in the course structure at the schools we've set up for their children. It's our own people doing the teaching, so we can slowly steer the education in the right direction, but we all still feel dirty for having to use it. Do you think you'd be willing to take a shipment of books over to one of the schools? |
Necessary Concessions |

With the release of several generations of slaves from the Empire, Jamyl struck a blow at the heart of Minmatar culture, forcing the Republic to accept those who have known only the ways of Amarr and what little Minmatar tradition they had been able to maintain through the years. Inducting such people into modern Republic society has proven troublesome and at times outright frustrating; allowing released slaves to practice the religion they grew up with has been a bitter necessity as counselors struggle to help the people adapt to their new lives. |
