Chemical warfare may not be as flashy as space lasers or doomsday weapons, but it just might decide the outcome of this war we're in. After all, what's the value of taking over territory if all your planets are uninhabitable? Of course, our foes have found counters to most of the known chemical agents. So the key to victory will be new compounds.
That's why I want you to acquire a big bunch of Augumene for us. The stuff is insanely toxic, hence its absence on the market. But in this case, its very toxicity is what we want to harness. |
About Augumene |
---|
Augumene is an extremely toxic ore; fortunately, it is also extremely rare. It can be mined safely from a starship, but proves very deadly when handled directly unless one takes extremely expensive safety precautions — which more than negates any profit to be made from reprocessing the stuff. For this reason, even black market operators generally won't deal in it, and it is never found for sale on the open market. |
As in all mining operations belt rats may randomly spawn.
