My client requires hydrogen isotopes to run her control tower, and she's getting a little snippy about the time it's taking me to provide it. She's even sent along a few assassins to vent her displeasure. No patience, that woman. <Pilot>, I need you to procure 10 units of a very particular ice-- Azure Ice, I believe, is what you're looking for on your scanner; I can extract the hydrogen myself. I've lost a few good ships and a few incompetent pilots in the ice fields trying to fill this order, and I really need you to live up to your reputation, <Pilot>-- within the next 24 hours. Can I count on you, <Pilot>?

There are few who can deny the majestic beauty of an ice field: the slowly rotating towers of glistening blue-green ice set against the colder backdrop of the stars can give even the most jaded pilot pause. Yet such beauty hides a darker truth: if you are not prepared, an ice field can quickly become your very own sparkling graveyard. While some ice fields can be found in Empire space, the rarer– and more profitable– ice ores are found in 0.0 space. As always, low sec can promise more ISK– or it can promise the dubious thrill of seeing your ship pounded into dust by eager pirates. Far too many inexperienced pilots have seen their mining barges blown apart-- with the hours and ISK needed to outfit them-- now so much vapor floating around their blinking pod.

Make sure that you can mine ice.
