The Abyssal Proving Grounds are mysterious pockets of space where players can compete for rewards in (relatively) balanced PvP challenges.
The proving grounds format varies, but usually involves some restrictions on ship hulls and module types to create a more level PvP playing field than exists in most of the rest of EVE. Players enter the proving grounds by using an appropriate filament.
