Patch Notes list UniWiki's patch note articles and how to use them. UniWiki's patch notes are sourced from EVE Online's Patch Note blog posts, then processed using the #Workflow. All capsuleers are encouraged to update the UniWiki using the UniWiki's patch notes.

The purpose of UniWiki's patch notes is:

  • to track how up-to-date the UniWiki is in reference to EVE Online's patch notes
  • to coordinate and organize UniWiki editors around a common goal
  • to serve as a reference point for which patch note is irrelevant in the eyes of the UniWiki

UniWiki patch notes lifecycle and workflow

UniWiki's patch notes are sourced from Patch Note blog posts, then converted using Patch Transformer into MediaWiki format. Before pasting the transformed MediaWiki formatted patch notes, they need to be formatted and the number of {{PatchNoteStatus}} reduce. Each patch note is prefixed by a {{PatchNoteStatus}} state, but some patch notes are connected and don't each need a separate status.

Transform

  1. Compare the Patch Note blog posts with the contents of UniWiki patch note articles.
  2. Copy Patch Note blog post HTML as per Patch Transformer instructions.
  3. Follow Patch Transformer instructions to transform HTML to MediaWiki format.
  4. Copy transformed patch note from Patch Transformer. Update an UniWiki patch notes article or create a new article as per Editing Guide instructions.
