Destroy all the ships present. After you destroy the last wave, you'll get this dialogue from Tevis Jak: "''My sensors are picking up a strange bit of tech in your cargo.  Bring it to me.''" There is now a "Strange Datacore" in your cargo, so return Tevis Jak in Tar and start a conversation with him to complete the mission.
