Except where noted otherwise, all hostile NPCs will auto-aggro on spawn or warp-in. Drones will receive aggro from newly-spawned waves. The ship that triggers the next wave on destruction is usually the ship with the highest bounty.

All Sentries can be ignored and gates will still unlock.

The majority of the explosive damage noted in the mission details is found in the bonus pocket.

Group 3 (the single cruiser) does not aggro unless it or the sentry towers are attacked, but it may aggro drones. If drones are targeted, it will follow the drones and attack them, but will head back to its initial position if the drones are returned to the drone bay, even if it is very close to a player ship.
