These missions will result in standings loss with Cadari State.
Patriotic Measures (1 of 5)
Level | 1 |
Type | Encounter |
Objective | Approach Caldari Starbase Control Tower |
Faction | Caldari State |
Best damage to deal | Kin Th |
Damage to resist | Kin Th |
Mission briefing |

A couple of our scouts have reported possible Caldari activity over in the <System> system. Fly over there, to the coordinates I've provided, and have a look around. If you find any structures, fly in and have a close look so your scanners can do a readout, and then come back to me here.
If you encounter any resistance, I leave it to your judgement how to proceed... but for now, at least, information is more important to us than hulling a few Caldari. |

Oh, it's nothing too difficult. Or illegal or immoral or anything. I just need some very sensitive data taken to my colleagues, and I can't entrust it to FTL uplink. It's not too far away. And we would pay you, of course. |
FTL Transmissions and Data Couriering |
---|
Given the FTL (faster-than-light) communications capabilities of contemporary starships, it would seem that transporting data or communications physically, by means data crystals or datapad, would be a thing of the distant past. However, for every data transfer via subspace or interstellar transmission, there is a risk of interception. Idea theft and espionage are par for the course in the competitive universe of EVE.
When governments and powerful corporations need to transfer information without risk of interference, they often rely on capsuleers. Common courier ships may be used for less sensitive yet vital data, but only capsuleers offer the combination of piloting ability and inherent security desired by the rich and powerful; of course, one must always take the risk that a capsuleer is trustworthy, but such employers can generally afford to pay their "couriers" well enough to buy their loyalty. |

Go on back out there and take out that Caldari research outpost. We have full license to destroy any Caldari we see in the vicinity, as well. |

The escaped ships are a shuttle and an escort. Our covert ops pilot tracked them to a deadspace location in <System>. I guess they thought they could lay low there and escape once they figured they'd evaded pursuit.
Head on over there to the coordinates I provide and take them out. Pick up whoever makes it into the escape pod from the shuttle and bring them back here. |

Mission briefing |
---|
It turns out the Caldari were researching some kind of advanced planetary shields, basing much of their work on what little ancient Yan Jung technology they'd been able to acquire. We got the specs of the "macroshield" they were working on. It's powered by a huge generator located in <System>. Yeah, that close!
Now, the generator itself is protected by a smaller, but still very powerful shield system controlled by three smaller power links somewhere else in the same deadspace location. In order to take out the macroshield generator, you first need to destroy the three shield power links. Then you should be able to warp back to the first room and take out the main generator. Got all that? It's a bit complex, but that's the only way it'll work. Oh, and of course, I expect the whole place will be fairly heavily guarded. So be wary. |
