Stub pages are those which are not yet completed, and require attention. Any page can be marked as a stub by using the marker '<nowiki>{{stub}}</nowiki>' in the page content.

When the  {{tl|Stub}} template is added to a page, that page is automatically included in this category.
 
The {{tl|Stub}} template refers to an entire article, not to individual sections of an article, and thus should be placed at the top of an article . While it is entirely appropriate to use {{tl|Stub}} to mark an article with a section that is incomplete, it is not appropriate to place the template inside of that section.<noinclude>
