The Amarr Empire has had its share of religious cults and fanatics in the past, but few have been as successful, or as highly feared, as the Blood Raiders. The Blood Raiders are a sect of an ancient cult called Sani Sabik, who use blood in their rituals. The Blood Raiders believe that cloned bodies have "purer" blood than other bodies, and this explains while they operate mainly in space, attacking unwary spacefarers and draining their bodies of blood. The Blood Raiders are led by the fearsome Omir Sarikusa, who has remained on top of the DED's most wanted list for many years now. Under Sarikusa's leadership, the Blood Raiders have become more organized, establishing several bases in the Bleak Lands region.

Blood Forsaken Hideaway is an unrated combat site belonging to the Blood Raiders pirate faction. It can be found via exploration as a cosmic anomaly within systems owned by the Amarr Empire and Ammatar Mandate. As an ungated complex, the limitations as to which ships can complete this site are tied to the security rating of the system where the anomaly spawns (T2 Battleships for high-security systems, and up to Titans in low-security and null-security systems). Completing this complex may award the player with valuable Dark Blood faction modules and ammunition.

This combat site consists of a single ungated pocket of space containing a variety of Frigate- and Destroyer-sized enemy ships. Three variations of this combat anomaly exist: Blood Hideaway, Blood Hidden Hideaway and Blood Forlorn Hideaway.
