This page is specific to EVE University. Other corporations or groups in the game may operate differently.
For a summary of EVE University's rules and code of conduct, see EVE University Rules.

The following Rules and Guidelines apply when mining in and around the Main Community. These are in addition to the EVE University Rules.

General Rules

  • Members are expected to join the in-game HQ standing fleet if they are mining or planning on mining in any of the high-sec stagings, except for Shared Cans, which may operate out of separate fleets. Furthermore, participating in the HQ Standing fleet on Discord is highly encouraged for faster voice communication.
  • EVE University treats Moon Ore belts no differently than any other Asteroid Ore belts in New Eden. However, if the owner of an Athanor directly asks you to leave, please avoid unnecessary conflict.

Structure Owner Expectations

  • If you deploy a structure and invite Uni members to mine it, you are solely responsible for all fuel, upkeep, and defense
  • You may not ask for, encourage, or imply any form of payment from Uni members in exchange for access — including taxes, tips, fuel contributions, or donations.
  • What you request or receive from non-Uni members is outside the scope of EVE University rules.
  • If you cannot afford to run or defend a structure without Uni member support, you should not deploy one.

Tips and Payments

  • No payments, fees, taxes, or tips (or anything that could be implied as such) from Uni members may be requested or implied by structure owners, fleet boosters, or fleet organizers.
  • Uni members mining from any structure — whether owned by EVE University or a member — do so without any obligation to pay, including “optional,” “suggested,” or “voluntary” contributions.
  • If anyone asks for or implies payment, miners should not engage directly. Instead, report the matter to Community Coordinators for review and action.
  • This policy protects newer players, reduces pressure, and ensures Uni mining remains fair, supportive, and educational.

Fleet Commanders

  • Fleet Commanders have authority to enforce all the listed rules, as well as having the final say in any "discretions" listed.
  • Fleet Commanders shall have the right to remove members that are in clear breach of Rules / Etiquette.
  • In the case of forced removal a follow up will be made with Management.

Crystals

  • Type A's should be the default for all pilots using T2 strip miners.
  • Type B's may be used at the FC's discretion, but are generally not to be used on higher grade ores (Glistening, Grade-3 , etc.).
  • Type C's are banned from all UNI mining fleets. (Will result in being removed from the fleet)

Sharing

  • "One rock per heartbeat" , Alts. must share the same rock as the main pilot.
  • Pilots must place ALL lasers & Drones onto the same rock.
  • Newer pilots in Ventures & Pioneers are welcome to share rocks , though are advised spread out as much possible.
  • The Rock in which the booster is mining should not be touched by other miners.
  • Booster only applies to the Primary booster on grid , which is the pilot in a command position, giving boosters primarily to effectiveness of mining lasers.

Exceptions

  • If more than one pilot end up on the same rock during the opening warp into a moon belt , they are welcome to share the rock. (This only applies to right after the moon has popped, and does NOT apply to the Boosters rock)
  • "One Rock per heartbeat" may be waved by the FC , IF , the turn out is less than 20 pilots OR in the case of limited Anomalies, such as Ice or border Ore's.
  • Boosters are allowed to claim a second rock for their alts. , but they all must share it.
