Linux users using the Wayland desktop manager are not currently able to configure global hotkeys in Mumble. This is a known bug as of 2022, with no prospect of being fixed, outside of either a) using an older desktop manager (which is running out of community support) or b) using a specific desktop compositor that allows you to set keybinds via a config file. Both are really janky workarounds that shouldn't be recommended.
Mumble audio still works, you just can't transmit with PTT. Per Intake, this is acceptable - just 'avoid taking special roles that require
communication via voice'.
