Scanning is the lifeblood of wormhole life. We live and die by our knowledge of the connections around us. To promote good scanning habits, WHC pays a small, fixed percentage of its total weekly activity to anyone who bookmarks a signature and records it in our mapping tool. The payout is shared amongst those who scanned in any given week and is proportional to the number of signatures scanned. Scan more, and you get paid more. For new members who may not have the ships or risk tolerance to fly other PvE activities, scout payouts can be a meaningful way of bootstrapping one's wormhole career while also learning an invaluable skill.
