For a summary of EVE University's rules and code of conduct, see EVE University Rules.

Leading from the Front

  • I will set a clear vision and objectives for my team that are aligned with the core purpose and goals of the university.
  • I will act with honesty, respect, and integrity always - whether in public/member facing channels or in private
  • I will seek to be active both in EVE Online and in the EVE University community

Sponsoring Member and Staff Success

  • I will act as a sponsor to unblock and resolve issues impacting members and staff, and where no clear owner exists, I will work with others to resolve and provide clarity.
  • I will share in the responsibility to ensure hard work and achievements that benefit the interests of EVE University are celebrated and credit is given to the appropriate people.

Avoiding Micromanagement

  • I will empower my team by supporting them in the execution of our team responsibilities and trusting their expertise.
  • I will provide guidance and support rather than engaging in detailed oversight of every task.

Collaboration

  • I will actively seek opportunities to collaborate across departments and functions.
  • I will share information openly to break down barriers and enhance teamwork.

Working together

  • I will foster a learning environment where it's encouraged to try new approaches, seek, and incorporate input.
  • I will contribute fairly to shared director tasks.
  • I will contribute to decisions in a timely manner with a goal of swift decision making where most of the time 80% is ‘good enough’ and not strive for perfection
