Chief Executive Officer

Laura Karpinski

The CEO is responsible for the overall leadership and direction of EVE University. They ensure that the university’s long-term mission, strategy, and vision are being pursued effectively. The CEO represents the organisation externally, managing high-level relationships with alliances and the wider EVE Online community. They work closely with the leadership team to ensure that all departments align with the university’s core objectives, and they make the final decisions on strategic matters.

Director Team

Spanky Ikkala	Director of Education Focus: Helping members learn, grow, and develop their skills across all areas of the university. Find and support trainers, whether they’re guest speakers or part of the regular teaching team. Make sure training programmes actually achieve results and are engaging and relevant. Ensure that education is woven into all university activities—not just in classes, but through fleets, events, and other content. Team up with the Director of Communications and Outreach to bring in external speakers or training events. Keep refining the training structure to maintain high standards and accessibility.
Dunar Dolorgiet	Director of New Player Experience Focus: Overseeing the new player journey at EVE University, ensuring it is welcoming, clear, and well-connected to the wider community. Develop and run orientation classes and informal social events to help new players settle in. Work with Education, SIGs, and Intake to align resources, messaging, and early engagement opportunities. Review and improve the clarity and delivery of new player communications and touchpoints. Keep new player-facing wiki content accurate, concise, and useful. Build a warm, inclusive experience that helps players find their place in EVE University.
Tsuro Tsero	Director of Combat Focus: Overseeing and supporting combat content across EVE University, with a focus on accessibility, skill development, and fun. Lead and support the FC Team, including recruitment and mentoring. Shape the direction of Uni combat content—roams, doctrine development, fleet culture, and PVP events. Ensure there are clear pathways for new players to get involved in PVP. Identify gaps or challenges in our combat offering and work with others to resolve them. Foster a healthy, inclusive PVP environment.
Idris Du'Vet	Director of Community Development Focus: Supporting and growing the EVE University community through engaging, inclusive, and player-led initiatives. Drive the creation and support of SIGs, social groups, and interest-based communities. Develop initiatives to make community involvement more accessible across all Uni spaces. Mentor community leaders and organisers, fostering a welcoming and active environment. Collaborate with other leadership to shape and support the Uni’s broader community strategy.

FC Team Managers

The FC Team Managers collectively oversee the FC Team, which helps teach members to become excellent FCs and provides operational support to EVE University combat activities. They maintain the Ship Replacement Program and support EVE University's Communities with PvP needs.

Structure Operations Lead

Nexdoom Atruin The Structure Operations Lead manages the deployment, maintenance, and decommissioning of EVE University’s structures, ensuring they align with organizational goals and community needs. They oversee corporate asset donations, office distributions, and structure registrations in Alliance Auth while supporting the Director of Strategy and Resources with structure sales and acquisitions. The role also maintains structure documentation and refines access control lists (ACLs) for security and efficiency. Main article: Structure Operations Lead

EVE University founder

Morning Maniac “ I founded EVE University to create a place where new players could get together and be appreciated for who they were. Classes and doing things together were important but nothing was, and is, more important than the positive attitude towards new players. In the first three years I clocked about 4000 hours logged-in in the service of the University. After some real life changes my available free time was greatly reduced but I could rely on a great team of directors and managers to run the Uni. In the last three years I was mainly concerned with extinguishing fires and the occasional directorship drama, but fortunately for me and everyone involved these issues have become less frequent and intense. The current leadership is stable and doing well, and they seem to share my vision of what the University should be and they work hard to shape it as such, with all the limitations of the game and the people in it. More changes in my real life have resulted in even less EVE time and as a result I feel now removed from the game. Because of that I have decided that it is in the best interest of EVE University that I resign from my CEO position. I have asked Kelduum to succeed me and he has accepted the job. What does this mean for the University and its members? Well, nothing. It means that now the formal power will be with the person who has already been in charge for a long time. I trust that Kelduum and the rest of the leadership will continue to run and build the University as they have done in the past. If they should decide to take another route then that's fine too. As for me? I hope to stay a member of the University. If and when I have time I would like to log in and just join the chat with the new guys. The enthusiasm of new players is what I always enjoy most about EVE. Besides, there is always a lot to learn in EVE. Finally, I would like to thank everyone for putting your trust in me. When I founded the Uni I had no idea where it would go. Where we are today is far beyond anything I could have imagined. I have learned so much, I have met amazing people and had a great time. All thanks to you, members past and present of EVE University. ”
