Caldari Union Day is a limited time event running between 25th August and 6th September 2022, downtime to downtime. During this period, capsuleers can log in to earn SKINs, fireworks, Boosters, Skill Points, and an expert system. This event features celebrations in select systems of Caldari State high security space.

Illustrious Capsuleers, Caldari Union Day is upon us once again with more gifts, rewards, and content than ever before. This annual event celebrates the strength of both the State, and the Caldari Workers Union. Union Day also serves as the time where all eight Caldari megacorporations will come together to host a planning summit for the following year. This year, the State will be holding a friendly competition between megacorporations for the rights to Jita 4-4's security contract. The corp that wins the contract will become the new protectors of Jita, standing proud at the gates of New Eden’s commercial centre! As a Capsuleer, you can join up as a corporate champion for corp that best represents you. Help them win the contract in the Union Day activities while winning yourself some unique rewards along the way! The celebrations begin now, running for 12 days through until 6 September.

Union Day Caldari history route challenges
Luminaire 1.0: Caldari Monument	Warp to the Caldari Monument The story of the Caldari begins with Caldari Prime, a cold world at the outer edge of the Luminaire system's habitable zone. From Caldari Prime the Civire and Deteis people formed a civilization was the precursor to the modern Caldari State. The Caldari shared their home system with the nearby Gallente Prime, and the Caldari were founding members of the Federated Union of Gallente Prime in BYC115. The Caldari never wholly clicked with Gallente government however and the two planets would slowly grow apart politically.	10 points
New Caldari 1.0: Landfall Kutuoto Miru Orbital Center	Warp to the Landfall Kutuoto Miru Orbital Center To preserve the Caldari cultural identity and autonomy within the stifling Gallente Federation, Caldari megacorporations began establishing Caldari colonies outside of Federation authority, including the founding of Landfall City in the system that would become known as New Caldari. Many of these early colonies are now prominent planets within the modern Caldari State. When the Gallente learned of the colonies they demanded they be placed under Federation control, and this demand hurtled the Caldari and Gallente on a path towards secession and war.	10 points
Saisio 0.7: Journey of Katia Sae Memorial	Warp to the Journey of Katia Sae Memorial Another one of the major early Caldari colonies was established within the Saisio system, where Sukuuvestaa corporation colonists encountered the Achura on the third planet. The Achura eventually joined the new Caldari State when it declared independence from the Gallente Federation. Today the Achura are the largest population of people within the State who trace their ancestry to planets other than Caldari Prime. The Achura have produced many successful capsuleers in recent decades, increasing their prominence across New Eden.	10 points
Iyen-Oursta 0.8: Battle of Iyen-Oursta Monument	Warp to the Battle of Iyen-Oursta Monument When the Caldari seceded from the Federation, the Gallente waged a brutal war to prevent their independence. A great many Caldari were forced to flee Caldari Prime for the relative safety of the colonies after a Gallente blockade and bombardment of their homeworld. The war lasted nearly a century and was fought to a stalemate as the Caldari developed innovative technology like fighters and frigates to defend against their larger foe. The battle of Iyen-Oursta was one of the last major battles of the war, where the heroic Caldari forces managed to destroy far more enemy ships than they lost, sapping the Gallente of their resources and will to fight.	10 points
Vellaine 0.6: The Grand Tiegjon Resort & Casino	Warp to The Grand Tiegjon Resort & Casino The end of the war with the Gallente allowed the Caldari to pivot towards more peaceful pursuits, and the Caldari people demonstrated that their industriousness was equally legendary in peace as in war. The Grand Tiegjon Resort & Casino in Vellaine is one example of this economic success. It is famous for its extravagant accommodations, comprehensive gambling options, and for hosting the the best selection of entertainment including serving as the primary venue for the Interstellar Mind Clash Championships! Crielere 0.4: Abandoned Research Station	Warp to the Abandoned Research Station in Crielere The Caldari State has always remained at the forefront of technological progress in New Eden. This abandoned research facility in the Crielere system was the site of a joint Duvolle Laboratories and Ishukone Corporation research project that pioneered applications for morphite and led to the development of covert ops cloaking devices. The project was unfortunately cut short when the Federation Senate ended their portion of the funding and it eventually came under attack from Guristas pirates who were eventually defeated with the assistance of heroic capsuleers. Malkalen 0.9: Malkalen Attack Memorial	Warp to the Malkalen Attack Memorial On May 15th YC110, the Ishukone corporation headquarters station was attacked by the treacherous Gallente Admiral Alexander Noir, who crashed his Nyx-class supercarrier into the station killing over 421,000 people including Ishukone CEO Otro Gariushi. This brutal act of terror interrupted the peaceful Malkalen Economic Summit and drove the Caldari State and Gallente Federation into violent conflict.	10 points
Luminaire 1.0: Operation Highlander Battlefield	Warp to the Operation Highlander Battlefield The Malkalen attack led to a resumption of hostilities between the Caldari and Gallente governments as well as allied capsuleer militias. This conflict included a Caldari invasion of Luminaire to secure Caldari Prime, which led to a half-decade period of full Caldari control over the planet until March 22nd YC115 when the Gallente launched an attack against the Leviathan-class Titan Shiigeru above Caldari Prime along with a simultaneous ground assault on the planet. The Gallente forces prevailed in orbit while the Caldari forces prevailed on the ground, leading to a cease-fire and eventual joint-administration treaty.	10 points
Hatakani 0.9: Combine TNR Meeting Venue	Warp to the Combine TNR Meeting Venue Combine TNR is a corporate consortium made up of an alliance between the Ishukone, Hyasyoda, and Wiyrkomi megacorporations. Also known as the "Ocean Faction", deriving from a general translation of the Caldari name for the organization – Tiuunakama Nenkanavu Rymasaikkan or "Ocean Winds Corporate Community" – this is in some ways the most surprising alliance to emerge from a general re-alignment of Caldari corporate politics in the aftermath of the Battle of Caldari Prime and the diplomatic settlement on the status of the old Caldari homeworld. Also known as the "Forest Faction", deriving from a general translation of the Caldari name for the organization – Pikotsaunen Kaatso Nuijaa or "Dark Forest Business Club" – this corporate alliance seems in retrospect almost a natural evolution of the paths each of the member megacorps have taken in their history. The disintegration of the old "patriot" bloc inevitably led to a political realignment, with the three megas of the Forest Faction being swift to recognise that their fortunes aligned with one another far more than any of the other "Big 8" megacorps. Also known as the "Mountain Faction", deriving from a general translation of the Caldari name for the organization – Jastokuaskaanonen Saikkan Luovhaikya or "Storm Peaks Policy Trust" – the alliance is at times uneasy given past rivalries but as a grouping of the two largest and most powerful megacorps in the Caldari State it is a partnership that holds the balance of power in the fractious world of Caldari corporate politics. Every day, the capsuleers are challenged to visit one of the Systems and fire a firework at the present Titan to gain 5,000 Skillpoints.

Each titan has a description that provides background on their corporation.

Proving Grounds

A themed abyssal proving ground will be running from September 2nd to 5th, featuring a 2v2 Caldari T1 Frigates format with bonuses to missile and hybrid turret damage.

Capsuleers who have already completed the Union Day Caldari history route challenges by this point will be eligible for a repeatable challenge for the proving ground that provides some points for their chosen megacorp.

Special Mechanics

During the event, a special Federation Day warp speed bonus of 2 AU/s is applied to all ships in Caldari State space.
