The Noctis marks Outer Ring Excavations' entry into the lucrative bulk salvaging market. Building on their successes integrating Marauder-class tractor technology into the Orca command platform, and innovations in automated salvaging technology, they designed a compact, affordable wreck recovery solution. A refined version of the successful limited-run Primae design made the perfect hull to house this new equipment, as its salvaging heritage and advanced sensor suites complement and enhance the new technologies. The increased sensor footprint of the new vessel is more than compensated for by its incredible efficiency at retrieving and reclaiming wreckage. The Noctis can fit up to five Salvage Drones, further enhancing its salvaging capabilites. Summary

The Noctis is the last word in salvaging, and is a considerable upgrade over a salvage fitted destroyer. Besides its bonuses to tractor beams and salvagers it also sports a large cargo bay, able to store loot from even the most destructive level 4 missions. The Noctis is expensive however, and is unlikely to be worth it for a player who is not yet running at least level 3 missions.

• The ratio of salvagers and tractor beams can be adjusted to suit player skill and salvaging style, and low slots can be adjusted as well depending on the situation. Pilots with good targeting and salvaging skills sometimes fit a 5 tractor / 3 salvager configuration.

Tactics

Accept the mission, complete the mission with your battle-fitted ship, bookmark a wreck before you leave, and turn in the mission. Hop in the Noctis, warp to the bookmark and salvage and loot all the wrecks.

Remember to bookmark a wreck in each deadspace pocket if there are multiple pockets.

For extra efficiency do several missions, then hop in the Noctis and salvage them all. Remember not to leave it longer than 2 hours!
