Ship Matrix Experiments
Idea: probe scanning formula reverse engineering experiment
Idea 1: a relatively experienced player scans ~50 signatures in T1 and T2. Maybe also in unbonuced ship. On Alpha account also. So we get relative speed.
Pro: the average scanning speed is in fact the most useful metric and here we directly measure it.
Con: for decent averaging we need to waste lots of time. And then we might want to split the result per signature type or something?..
Idea 2: two players fly to exactly same spot, center probes with the same formation on themselves. But with different scanning strength. Again, we collect several datappints, then look whether it interpolates.
Question: previous work?
Abyssal diary
- 13.01.2024: thought "well, T0 should be tuned so that I can do it without preparation", went in randomly fit Algos. Turned out that I confused filaments, it was T1. Died in 1st room.
- 12.02.2024 and around: did ~12 T0 electric in Tristan. One fail I think in the beginning (do not remember well). About 30-40m worth of loot.
- 21.02.2024 and 22.02.2024: started doing T1 electric in Worm. One fail thanks to family, one fail due to getting stuck in an asteroid. 2 Worms lost and third bought = -270m. About +40m in loot in several runs.
- 28.02.2024: received another Worm, fit for exotic/fire. Will do after electric filaments end.
- 29.02.2024: 7 runs in T1 electric Worm, ~50m loot, no problems.
- 01.03.2024: 1 run T1 electric Worm. ~4.7m loot. Internet failed, was able to complete the run but had to end.
- 02.03.2024: 4 runs T1 electric Worm, 25.7m loot. Electric filaments ended. 1 run T0 fire + 1 run T1 fire in another Worm, lucky 12m loot. 3 more T1 fire at night: 9.35+7.2+4.6.
- 03.03.2024: 1 T1 exotic Worm, ~7m.
- 04.03.2024: 2 T1 exotic Worm, 5.5+3.5m , -1 Hornet II (Tessera).
- 05.03.2024: 2 T1 exotic Worm, ~12.5m
