notes=This is Frood's standard shield fit. Key is the cloak, MWD and the webs. Feel free to bring other webs but the faction webs are totally worth it. Especially the Domination with the extra web range. Most of the times range is the critical factor, not web strength. If you don't want or can't fit faction, fit meta 4. Your mids will heat up like crazy, meta takes more heat than T2 with the same or better stats. It has a warp disruptor but this can be switched for 3rd web, TP, extra shield tank, SeBo (meh). The lows support the strength of this fit with extra scan res, speed and agility. Other options would be a PowerDiag for some extra cap. You can fit ACs in the highs and you could also drop the probe launcher for a 3rd gun. I never missed the 3rd gun but quite often did I miss my probe launcher. Force recon ships are the cruiser-class equivalent of covert ops frigates. While not as resilient as combat recon ships, they are nonetheless able to do their job as reconaissance vessels very effectively, due in no small part to their ability to interface with covert ops cloaking devices and set up cynosural fields for incoming capital ships.

Developer: Core Complexion Inc.

Core Complexion's ships are unusual in that they favor electronics and defense over the "lots of guns" approach traditionally favored by the Minmatar.

Summary

Alongside its non cloaking brother, the Huginn, the Rapier is a common feature in almost all shield tanked gangs, prized for its ability to web targets at a greater range than any other ship in the game (40k T2, up to 60k faction). A Loki can also be setup to fill a similar role, but at a much greater cost. Unlike the Huginn, the Rapier can also be fitted with an armor tank due to its four low slots.
