The Badger-class hauler is the main cargo-carrier for the Caldari State, particularly in long, arduous trade-runs. Its huge size and comfortable armament makes it perfectly equipped for those tasks, although the Caldari seldom let it roam alone. SHIP BONUSES

Summary
Offering considerably more defense and power capacity over the larger Tayra, the Badger is incredibly versatile. the 185MW allow the fitting of heavy weaponry, although they should really be used only for self-defense, as the targeting time is very long and it will be generally outclassed by anything it faces. However it is much more nimble, and with proper equipment the alignment time can be brought down from a glacial 13.88s to less than 8s. When using all low slot for expanded cargohold the Badger will have over 7500m3 capacity while being no less agile than a Tayra, and the beefy shield, although strong, can be boosted even further by extenders, boosters and rechargers. It also have tremendous structural hitpoint, which, while making nanofiber internal structure all the more impactful, means it will not go down easily, perhaps making it better suited for hauling in otherwise relatively hazardous locations, as long as it don't stay for extended periods of time.

Notes
Visually, the Badger seem to share the chassis and propulsion unit with the Tayra, with a shorter cargohold that does not extend very far forward. They also share the launcher and turret mount points. Its variant, Crane, seem to have additional component to the rear, as well as a different painting scheme, perhaps to house the necessary modules for cloaking.
The Badger had its bonus changed from 5% max velocity to 5% agility per level with the deployment of Odyssey 1.1.
