The Prophecy is built on an ancient Amarrian warship design dating back to the earliest days of starship combat. Originally intended as a full-fledged battleship, it was determined after mixed fleet engagements with early prototypes that the Prophecy would be more effective as a slightly smaller, more mobile form of artillery support. Summary
The Prophecy is an unloved battlecruiser. It has no damage bonus, only 6 turret slots and 1 missile slot and a small drone bay, meaning its damage is very unimpressive for a battlecruiser. On the up side it has a tanking bonus and a low price tag, which makes it good bait. Unfortunately everyone knows Prophecies are only ever used as bait.
Due to its poor performance and vague resemblance to a fat bird, the Prophecy is also known as the "space turkey".
