The Taipan is a Frigate provided by the Guristas Pirates to teach new pilots fleet combat doctrine and tactics. Often called a rookie ship since its lack of complexity makes it amazing simple for even the freshest of pod pilots to familiarize themselves with the concept of starship piloting.
