The Imicus is a slow but hard-shelled frigate, ideal for any type of scouting activity. Used by merchant, miner and combat groups, the Imicus is usually relied upon as the operation's eyes and ears when traversing low security sectors. SHIP BONUSES

Summary
The Imicus is the Gallente Tech 1 exploration and scanning frigate. It is a good ship for rookies or veterans who are getting into probing and don't have the skills for the T2 version, the Helios. Its bonus to virus strength allows it to complete Data and Relic sites faster and more reliably.
Skills

- This fit is an absolute basic scanner/salvager fit. There is no tank or gank; your objective is to stay as far away from hostile targets as possible to do your scanning in peace.

Prototype Cloaking Device I
1MN Microwarpdrive I
Beta Hull Mod Nanofiber Structure
Damage Control I
Hobgoblin I x4
Hobgoblin I x4
Combat Scanner Probe I x8
- This fit requires Cloaking I to fit the basic Prototype Cloaking Device; players looking to fly the Helios should train Cloaking to IV to enable a Covert Ops Cloaking Device.
- This fit also requires an Expanded Probe Launcher to launch Combat Scanner Probes, allowing the player to warp to enemy ships.

- CPU Management 5
- T2 the nanofibers if money and skills allow.
- Should be able to permarun the MWD. Swap the relay for a nofiber if so.
- Can fit combat and core scanner probes.
- The hornets *might* save you if you're tackled at a gate, if you deploy them in time and get a jam off.
Tactics
While not designed for combat, one can still combat fit an exploration frigate to catch unsuspected lone gankers off guard. When fitting for combat, as other races' exploration frigates, the Imicus has a severe shortage of power grid while having a huge CPU reservoir. Plus the ship has no bonus to guns or missiles, it is best to fit missile or rockets to save on power grid for prop and repper. The large CPU left over can then be used to fit a range of damage, resist or ewar mods.
Notes
This vessel qualifies for the University Ship Replacement Program, PYOS, and BYOM.
