Deep space transports are designed with the depths of lawless space in mind. Possessing defensive capabilities far in excess of standard industrial ships, they provide great protection for whatever cargo is being transported in their massive holds. They are, however, some of the slowest ships to be found floating through space.

Summary
The Occator is the Gallente Deep Space Transport. Due to its bonuses to tank and warp strength it's a difficult ship to suicide gank in hisec. It has a fairly small cargohold, so it's usually passed over for a different hauling ship when hauling large qauntities. Another unique feature is its 50,000 m³ Fleet Hangar, which can take both packaged and assembled ships. The Fleet Hangar size in increased by the Transport Ships skill to 62,500 m³ (at level 5).
The Occator can also fit a Medium Micro Jump Drive.
