Command ships are engineered specifically to wreak havoc on a battlefield of many. Sporting advanced command module interfaces, these vessels are more than capable of turning the tide in large engagements. Field command ships are geared more towards out-and-out combat than their fleet command counterparts, though both ships can hold their own in battle.
Developer: Kaalakiota
As befits one of the largest weapons manufacturers in the known world, Kaalakiota's ships are very combat focused. Favoring the traditional Caldari combat strategy, they are designed around a substantial number of weapons systems, especially missile launchers. However, they have rather weak armor and structure, relying more on shields for protection.
SHIP BONUSES
Caldari Battlecruiser Skill Bonus: 4% bonus to all Shield Resistances and 7.5% bonus to heavy and heavy assault missile kinetic damage. Command Ships Skill Bonus: 7.5% bonus to Heavy Assault and Heavy missile launcher rate of fire, 5% bonus to Heavy Assault Missile and Heavy Missile explosion radius and 3% bonus to strength of Siege Warfare and Information Warfare links. Role Bonus: Can fit up to three Warfare Link modules.

Summary
The Nighthawk is the Caldari Field Command Ship. It is bonused towards missiles and shield tanking. While it is classed as a "command ship" it is designed as a combat ship, not a fleet booster.
The Nighthawk is essentially a souped up Drake. It shares the Drake's tanking bonus, augmented by T2 resistances, to allow for an extremely impressive shield tank, especially when passive tanked. It also has several extra bonuses to improve its damage output over a drake, more than making up for its one fewer launcher slots.
