The Exequror Navy Issue was commissioned by Federation Navy High Command in response to the proliferation of close-range blaster vessels on the modern stellar battlefield. While it doesn't boast the speed of some of its class counterparts, this up-close-and-personal gunboat nonetheless possesses some of the more advanced hybrid plasma-coil compression subsystems available, making it a lethal adversary in any upfront engagement.

Summary
While significantly more expensive than the Thorax, the Exequror Navy Issue trades out the tracking bonus for increased damage, range, fitting, speed, a utility high, and an extra low slot. With a bonus to armor plate mass reduction, the Exequror Navy can fit an armor buffer tank and still remain speedy, all while packing a punch with blasters or railguns with eight effective turrets at max skills.
Historically, sporting double damage bonuses and barely more fitting than the Thorax, the ship was left to be fit as even more of a glass cannon than the already squishy Thorax. Given that upshipping to a Brutix could bring more DPS and tank for a similar price, the Exequror Navy was very unpopular compared to peers such as the Vexor Navy Issue, Osprey Navy Issue, or the Omen Navy Issue. A balance pass in the Uprising expansion in 2022 lead to several buffs to the Exequror Navy that have catapulted the ship into wider use.

- The Exequror Navy Issue was the least used faction Cruiser in the game prior to Uprising. We are happy we managed to pull it out of the abyss it was in, but it’s now at the very top of the pile along with the Osprey Navy Issue and has become incredibly dominant.

Version 20.10 - 2022-11-08 - Uprising (Patch notes)
- The Exeq Navy struggled to fit much else beyond a full rack of neutrons (sic) blasters, these changes should help it to fit more comfortably for combat. Removing a turret opens up additional fitting space as well and the loss of the turret is counteracted by a larger damage bonus. Overall the goal here is to improve fitting, improve mobility and give the ship a slight bump in damage output so hopefully it will be interesting and competitive in pvp/pve.
