Your first duty is to purge yourself in the flames of your confession before God. You must become ash in God's hands, for only then may you rise anew to strike the adversary down. -Apostle-Martial Zhar Pashay's dawn address to the Paladins at the Battle of Rahdo, Amarr Prime AD 20538 SHIP BONUSES

Summary
The Confessor is the Amarrian Tactical Destroyer, and was released in the Rhea expansion (Dec 2014). It is bonused for Small Energy Turrets and has become a popular solo ship in lowsec.
Following the Tech 3 paradigm, Tactical Destroyers are flexible ships, and clever switching between their three modes allows the user to get the most out of these ships.
Combined bonuses on the Confessor give it a firepower equivalent of 8 turrets with an impressive range selection using Sharpshooter mode.
The Confessor's slot layout greatly favours Armor tanking, which can be further improved using the ship's Defense mode.
1MN and 5MN Confessors are viable, even though the ship really shines if fitted with a 10MN Afterburner. This requires compromises in fitting, but brings benefits such as very high speed, relatively good agility thanks to the bonus of Propulsion mode and a small signature radius.
Skills
Gunnery, armor and navigation support skills should all be at least 4 before taking out a solo Confessor. You should also be able to mount a T2 armor tank and use T2 turrets.

- Generally, kite from the edge of point range using your 10MN to keep your distance. If things come close and you can't get back to kiting range, web and Gleam them.
- Remember the Ancillary Armor Repairer requires Nanite Paste to run, and not to have it set for autoreload, unless you want to be stuck with your repper reloading in the middle of a fight.
- Requires excellent fitting skills.

- Energy Weapons Rigging V
- Advanced Weapon Upgrades V
- Requires energy weapons rigging and advanced weapons upgrades at V to fit without implants. Without both at V, the fit will require a power grid implant (which type of implant depends on skills).

- Perma run everything minus one of the reps and use that for whenever you need an extra boost.
- Relying also on speed tanking so never turn off the ab unless webbed.
- Watch your cap when you are running two reppers. Depending on skills you might be very unstable with two.
- Feel free to use sharpshooter to be able to use Multifreq or Confalguration more often.. Swapping ammo and modes is how you eek out that extra damage. Its a very dynamic "ratting" due to how often you swap to be at max efficiency. Fun to fly.

- Extremely tight fitting, drop the probe launcher if you are hurting and/or use 1% implants.
- A fleet of these have insane tank: 16,5k EHM combined with frigate signatures and all resists over 78% makeing it so that T2 frigate logi can keep these on field for an eternity.
