The Bantam, a strong and sturdy craft, was originally an extremely effective mining frigate. After its redesign, the Bantam's large structure had to give way for logistics systems that ate up some of its interior room but allowed it to focus extensively on shield support for fellow vessels. Summary
The Bantam is the Caldari logistics frigate and is designed for remote shield repair. It makes an ideal entry point for beginner Caldari capsuleers who want to train into the Osprey, the Caldari Tier 1 Cruiser logi ship, before eventually training into the Basilisk, the Caldari Tier 2 Logistics ship.
Note: While both the Osprey and the Basilisk are designed to fly as part of a cap chain, the Bantam is designed to be self-sufficient when it comes to capacitor usage. For this reason, shield-logi capsuleers can cross-train into the Minmatar Scythe relatively easily (and from there to the T2 Scimitar).

- Hull and Meta 0 modules are available from Alpha Hangar.
- The Rigs will give some seconds extra Capacitor Buffer and a bit more shield.
- Don't fit the rigs if you can't afford to spend round about 2.5M ISK for them.
- Pilotes need to pay themselves for Meta 4 modules (f.e. Small S95a Partital Shield Transporter) and Rigs.
